well me and my dad just decide to make gardens last year well last year they didnt get any flowers in them b/c of fininalcial probs so what type should we put in we have most ly sun light and half shade

For the best value for your dollar, buy ANNUALS. These flowers will bloom all spring, summer, and fall, and they freeze in the winter. They come in a large variety of colors, and sizes. Reply:Different types of bulbs are a great place to start because they come back every year, and the bulbs will divide if you dead-head them, which will help fill the bed or you can move them to other beds. An assortment of cannas, lilies, and crocus, would be a great selection to start and offer different heights and textures. Also add some hostas, which are more leafy, but put up stalks of flowers and can be divided as well.





I also like wild flowers which reseed, specifically purple coneflower.
