What are some flowers that flourish in the sun?

I need the names of some flowers that grow well this time of year and under full sun. Thanks.

What are some flowers that flourish in the sun?
Roses, petunias, sunflowers, carnations, dahlias, zinneas, and pansies.

There are lots more, check at your local garden center!
Reply:In annuals, alyssum, petunias, geraniums, vinca, portaluca, vinca, there are many others, but these have worked for me.
Reply:If you get anything that is a succulent, it will do well. These are things in the cactus family. Others are vinca, petunias, moss roses, portacula, roses, canna lilies, verbena, and marigolds. It also depends on how hot and dry it is where you live. Some things will grow well in milder climates in full sun than in harsher hot ones.
Reply:Painted Daisy, coreopsis, black eyed susans, coneflower, spiderwart, lilies, phlox, bee balm, the list goes on and on. check out HGTV and better homes and gardens website.
Reply:I have had great luck with stargazer lillies. The most beautiful pinkish-red color and they can get up to 4 feet tall!
Reply:my favoirtes are salvia and vinca. I plant red salvia and surround it with white vinca and it blooms beautifully and abundantly all summer and until frost.

both take the heat from summer sun well.
Reply:sunflowers, roses

Should I send flowers to her?

Tomorrow is my ex gf birthday. We broke up because of a drug addiction and other problems she has in her life. She still calls me and sends letters to me when she needs to talk. She still cares for me and I as well for her. But we just cant be together because I cant accept her addiction. I support her as I can when she says she wants to get off of the stuff. But I see no end in sight to her addiction yet. Anyway, I dont know if sending her flowers for her birthday would be appropriate. I know she loves them, but I am afraid she might get the wrong idea. I dont want her to think I am wanting her back. I just want her to know that she is a special person and that someone does care about her. Should I send them to her or not? I know if I do it will brighten her day. If I dont and noone gives her anything, she might get depressed and get high on drugs to feel better. Should I?

Should I send flowers to her?
DONT Listen to all that other BULL ...

FLOWERS do NOT say I WANT YOU ..... telling her %26quot; i want you %26quot; says %26quot;I want you%26quot; . ........ ;)

Flowers are a very nice everyday type occasion deal nowadays, so unless you are going to send her a dozen red roses with a card saying I want you back ... you are in Safe waters buddy ;)

Come on , especially if there is a chance that she might not get anything from anyone else ? Then it would be straight out mean of you ;) not to get her flowers ...

Ohhh and there is also nothing wrong or any kind of double meaning attached to roses ( EXEPTION:RED)....

so go ahead honey , get her a huge bouquet (with roses) and also a card saying %26quot; I wish You a happy Birthday, enjoy Your day :)%26quot;

That is it , no thinking of you blablabla ... keep the card simple and you are fine ;)

PS: haha No i dont work in the flower business , I Just LOVE getting Flowers ..... ;)
Reply:no... instead, give her something else for her birthday. Flowers say %26quot; i want you %26quot; and you can%26#039;t give her that message. Perhaps a better choice would be giving her something like a cd or something else she might want for her birthday. You know her fairly well, I%26#039;m guessing, you should be able to pick something a little more neutral
Reply:Sure that would be very nice of you. Just put a simple note. Something like...%26quot;Thinking of you. Hope you%26#039;re have a great day.%26quot;

No roses though. Send fresh cut flowers instead.
Reply:Ok. I don%26#039;t really know how to answer this so I guess I%26#039;ll just tell you what I think. I think that you should send them. But I would also send her a letter with them talking about how you really hope she is ready to break her addiction and that if at any time she wants to come to you for help in getting better then you are there for her.
Reply:I think you should send her a platonic card and a small gift, but sending flowers is a touch on the romantic side. Assure her that you are her friend...hey my ex BF sent me a card on my birthday and I took it as a nice gesture. We remain friends and you can not have too many friends. It will brighten her day, but you can not control her actions, or view you are pushing her over the edge. An addict will use whatever reason they WANT to to continue their BAD BEHAVIOR. You are NOT the reason, her addiction is the reason.
Reply:She%26#039;ll probably get high on drugs either way, because she%26#039;s sad or because she%26#039;s happy, it won%26#039;t matter. How about sending her a very nice %26#039;friendship%26#039; card instead of flowers? Or, perhaps you could send her a bouquet and put anonymous as the signature, (not in your handwriting of course). This might cheer her up, but as I said, it probably won%26#039;t keep her from getting high. She needs professional help.
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t send her flowers. But I would make sure to get her something nice. A movie or a book might be a safe route to take. I%26#039;d stay away from candy, flowers and stuffed animals, clothing too actually unless it%26#039;s of some funny catch phrase or something. A movie or a book is something she can enjoy over time, with no hidden messages in it. I think it is very great of you to keep being a support system to her. :)
Reply:ohhhhhh send her some. Write her a card giving her encouragement. I can understand you not accepting an addiction, that is the smartest thing you can do.

Being there to encourage her and to be her friend is probably the best thing that you can do for her.
Reply:No, sorry if this does not agree with how you feel, however it may send her the wrong signals.

As you say she is your ex and from what it sounds you do not want her back due to her problem. She is not your responsibility anymore, and you need not feel guilty about this. her problem is HER problem, not yours.

Move on with your life, and find someone else.
Reply:Yes you should send her flowers. If you can brighten her day

than do it i bet she will be very happy
Reply:dont send her roses. send her like a spring boquet of different flowers. just say happy birthday on the card. i know how someone with an addiciton can be. so i say send them

What types of flowers thrive in Wichita, KS?

Now that spring is fast-approaching, I%26#039;d like to start planting flowers in pots. What grows well in the south-central part of Kansas?

Daisies? Poppies? Pansies?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Any that you mentioned are fine. Just make sure you water daily. Especially if we have a super hot summer.
Reply:Visit your local Walmart or garden store. They can tell you exactly what plants do well in your location.

I want to send my gf flowers. The problem is, she is in Korea. Anyone know how I get flowers over there?

I would like to send my girlfriend flowers or a nice gift but I%26#039;m on a budget as well. Anyone have ideas?

I want to send my gf flowers. The problem is, she is in Korea. Anyone know how I get flowers over there?
FTD delivers world wide. (no, I can%26#039;t remember what that stands for) Just go to the website, and tell them where you want them sent.

The only thing you need is a credit card.
Reply:Yes,

I know exactly what you could do.

There are green houses and flower places every where all you would need to do is send some money over to the nearest store they have and tell them to deliver some. and they will reach the nearst one in korea that could deliver then to her. and if you would like to buy her a gift.. buy her a gift then send it to her in the mail. If that doesn%26#039;t work then just get her a card an send.
Reply:look up and call a flower shop there and have them send her flowers with a sweet luv note on it
Reply:get someone over there to get the flowers for you. pay them somehow and let them get the flowers to her.
Reply:will 1-800-flowers do it?

Shud i buy flowers? i live at homeless sheltor she works there.......?

OK first off, ima dog, ok i don%26#039;t even talk to women and i get sex, i just give em a look let em know im interested, than they talk to me, not allways but enough, thats my game, i don%26#039;t buy drinks, women come up to me, an i gotta soft tone voice, so the only time i can talk to anybody an be heard is when we 1 on 1, OK thas me! BUT i met this girl, and i approach her different, softer more respectful, just naturally without even thinking about it, just a different vibe i get from her, usually im bout sex, wit her im more about romance......OK so i gave a her a compliment all gentlemen like, she seemed to enjoy it..than later i gotta warm smile, emotianal smile, and it got me all emotional........well i didn%26#039;t get to see her for a week, than when i did see her, she seemed like it never happened..... our situation is complicated too, with low voice, its hard to talk to her, cuz we only see eachother in crowded areas...... so wat ya%26#039;ll think? i was gonna buy her flowers.. ur opinion?

Shud i buy flowers? i live at homeless sheltor she works there.......?

Reply:Sorry to sound rude, but if you live in a homeless shelter, maybe you should not waste your money on something like that. Maybe get yourself a job and a place and then volunteer there. Then buy the flowers.

What's the best fertilizer for flowers and for Ivy?

And also I need to know what the best kind of bug spray there is for my flowers. My petunias are half eaten and covered in holes... I think they%26#039;re those pincher bugs, my zinnias leafs are covered in tiny holes to the point where the whole leaf is translucent. My grandpa fertilizes his flowers twice a week, even though it%26#039;s only suppose to be once a week, and they%26#039;re fabulous. I don%26#039;t know what he uses though. Does anyone know any little tricks like that, as well?

What%26#039;s the best fertilizer for flowers and for Ivy?
the best fertilizer would be a scoop or two from a compost pile. It works great and it%26#039;s all organic. As far as bugs, take a spray bottle and put some regular dish soap in it and fill it with water ... misting the plants will keep the bugs away.
Reply:%26quot; Miracle Grow%26quot; plant food is the best I%26#039;ve ever used. Just follow the package instructions for great results. I would contact a local florist to find out what bug repellant to use on your particular plants.
Reply:Let you know a little secret. Have you ever seen roses as bis as a basketball? The best fertilizer for flowers is..........Bat guano, available at any good nursery, very expensive.
Reply:Osmocote for flowers and bedding plants
Reply:get the book %26quot;extraordinary uses for ordinary things%26quot; i have it and its great.
Reply:5 gal bucket 1/2 full of water.. Every meal take all left overs you would heave. put them in blender, blend rear fine then dump in bucket.. have good lid it will stink..Me I have a 55gal drumb full.. Called FORCE FEEDING.. Best fertilizer I%26#039;ve ever seen and sure does make things grow.. Once a week I use it on both flowers and garden.. people always ask how do I always have such good luck.. THATS HOW.. Ask Grandpa, bet hes done it... Good Luck your friend here in Tennessee... ROB

What kind of vegetables, fruits, and flowers are good to grow in Houston, TX?

I am planning my yard and would like to do my own landscaping. What kind of vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruits are good for Houston climate hot, humid summer and mild winter. I want the fruit trees to serve both as fruit bearing as well as for shade to my house. The flowers should be a melangé of color. The vegetables should be able to supply seasonal veggies to my dining table. I know it is a tall order but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What kind of vegetables, fruits, and flowers are good to grow in Houston, TX?
Tomatoes, strawberries, asparagus, squash, zuccini, watermelons (certain varieties will do much better than others), corn, okra (loves that climate), all types of peppers, carrots, onions, beats, radish, potatoes, pumpkins, cilantro, basil, canteloupe... hell, just about anything. Here%26#039;s a link to our veg group... join it for better info....

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OkVegGarde...
Reply:You could grow orange, plum, fig, pear and certain types of apple trees in your area. (Fall is the best time to plant so get ready!)

Herbs: Basil, rosemary, all types of mint...wow, you can grow almost any type herb. (indoors or outdoors)

Flowers.... Geraniums grow well in TX...they come in a variety of colors. Mexican Heather has small purple flowers. Lantana and sage comes in different colors also...

Visit your local Home Depot or Lowes. They will have the trees at the best prices with a year warranty. They will also have the plants that are in season.

Vegetables...I am not sure about...I have only grown tomatos. (those can be planted twice/year in your area).

What kind of flowers do you give a girl when you accidentally drop her while carrying her?

We were having a very romantic evening watching the Minnesota Twins play baseball on the Tele.

Well, one thing led to another, and.....the Twins scored the tying run in the 9th.

It was around this time that the lady of the house decided she wanted to procreate. So, as usual, I lifted her up and was going to proceed to carry her to the garage so we could %26quot;do some lovin%26#039;%26quot;, and the Twins scored the winning run!!!

In the excitement of the moment, I thrust my hands upward in victory and yelled in excitement. Unfortunately, I also heard a loud %26quot;OUCH%26quot; as my amour hit the floor.

The cold metal called %26quot;enswell%26quot; has helped the swelling and blackness around my eye, but my heart is still broken! My love won%26#039;t talk to me, plus she didn%26#039;t let me %26quot;carry out my duty%26quot; last night!!!

What type of flowers should I send her to basically tell her how she completes me and blah blah blah. Basically, how do I get her to get over it?

What kind of flowers do you give a girl when you accidentally drop her while carrying her?
Personally I think you should get her a pot of those plant yourself flowers. This way you%26#039;re also giving her an activity. But if you ask me, I think she%26#039;s at fault here.

She should have had the decency to either pleasure you while the game was still going on, or wait until it was over!

Perhaps she should apologize to YOU!!!
Reply:The fact that you two retire to the garage for an oil-stained, exhaust fume-filled post-baseball hump session should be far more alarming than someone being dropped on his or her head on the way to the %26quot;monkey love barn.%26quot;

Add to that the worrisome factor of you calling sex a %26quot;duty%26quot; to be %26quot;carried out%26quot; like Missus WhatsHerDroppedA$s must soldier and grit it out and you%26#039;ve got yourself a Twin Cities nightmare.
Reply:A fragrant, yet colorful mix of dandelions, buttercups, lion%26#039;s breath, and fuzzy tiger lilies.
Reply:Flowers AND a nice gift at this point. And then some time spent with her doing whatever it is she would like to do. Yep. Take it like a man.
Reply:If she hasn%26#039;t gotten over it by now then you need more than flowers. A good therapist might help.
Reply:as many red roses as you can afford!! Think dozens!!!!

Leave out the blah blah blah on the card...
Reply:Black eyed Susans......

What types of flowers like to grow in mostly shady areas?

I have a spot that gets morning sun and the rest of the day is shady. I want to plant flowers there. I have a couple hostas and some lillies that are doing well. What else can I plant here?

What types of flowers like to grow in mostly shady areas?
I have full shade on the back of my house. I have planted different hostas, ferns, heucheras, brunera, fern leaf bleeding heart and standard bleeding heart and for annuals i planted inpatiens.

All these plants do very well and look beautiful no matter what time of the growing season.

The fern leaf bleeding heart blooms all summer..pretty pink dangling flowers. The standard bleeding heart flowers for about 4 weeks, after that it just continues to grow...it does not die back.
Reply:I have a totally shaded area and have lots of sucess with impatiens and huecheras. I like planting the white impatiens in shade, the white really pops out. Lamium also does well in shade and spreads really nicely. Also try some ferns. Japanese painted ferns have really nice color in them and don%26#039;t get too huge. Bleeding Hearts also like the shade, however they do die back in the summer so you are left with a hole to fill.

Should I send flowers?

My oldest daughter%26#039;s biological father (she%26#039;s been adopted by my husband) has two other children by 2 other mothers: a boy, and a girl.

Well, had..

We are pretty close to the other girl and her mother- she and I didn%26#039;t used to get along, but we became friends later on for the sake of our daughters- we wanted them to have each other- even if their %26quot;daddy%26quot; wasn%26#039;t going to be a part of their lives. The little boy and his mother we never really knew- they live in another state- but we have both talked to her a couple times and there was no bad blood or anything.

Well, the little boy passed away- he was 6. Our daughters never met him- nor did we- and we haven%26#039;t really spoken to his mother in a long time. His funeral is on Thursday, and the other mother and I were talking today about sending flowers or a card with a donation in it. We know our ex won%26#039;t be there because he never cared about any of his kids, but we want to send it from our daughters- since he was their brother. Cont%26#039;d

Should I send flowers?
Well you can think of it this way. When people hear on the news that a child has died and that there is a charity that is collecting cards for the family, perfect strangers will write cards to the child%26#039;s parents.

I don%26#039;t think the mother would be offended in any way. But perhaps you should keep the card simple, just a %26quot;sorry for your loss,%26quot; or something like that, and of course, the little kids%26#039; signatures.
Reply:Call the funeral home and ask if there is any special plans for memorials such as donations to an organization or charity. If not, then send flowers to the home with his sisters names inside the card and the words, From you sisters, with their names.
Reply:Send flowers. It would be the right thing to do.
Reply:You and the other Mother might consider making a donation to an organization, the one most closely representing the reason the litle boy died. Make the donation in Honor of %26quot;name of the child%26quot; and have the card sent with the donation from you and your daughters and have the thank you card to be sent to the boys mother. The Mother should recieve a card then from the charitable organization telling her they have recieved a donation in honor of %26quot;her boys name%26quot; from %26quot;You and your daughters names%26quot;. This card would take a while to get to her giving her time to have started her grieving and when she is not so overwhelmed with the immediate rush of people who will be with her and supportive of her but will dwindle with time.

What ever you decide I don%26#039;t think you can err on the side of remembering and letting some one know you know they are in pain and you care.....

I just read your last addendum, by all means it is ok to leave out the word sisters, she will know and not anyone else needs to.
Reply:I would send flowers, it will let them know you%26#039;ve been thinking about them,
Reply:I think you should definitely send flowers... any thoughts are appreciated in tough times.

When can I start planting flowers?

I live in Ohio around the columbus area. I want to get some plants and flowers going this year. i was wondering when I should start planting. What does well in this area of the world. Maybe you can tell me yor favorite flowers or shrubs and when to .

When can I start planting flowers?
If your hardiness zone is 5-after April 15th

If your hardiness zone is 6- after April 1st (These dates are for outside) Columbus falls into both categories.
Reply:I%26#039;m in NW Ohio and have lots of success with Iris, Daylilies, Hosta, and Ornamental Grasses. Feel free to check out my website: http://www.gardening-quick-n-easy.com/ea...

My favorites are the Daylilies ... so much variety in the flower colors, shapes and plant sizes. I%26#039;ve got over 40 of them planted in the yard now and plan to add more each year that I have (or can make) room for them.

Up here, our last frost dates can be anywhere between May 1 to May 31. I usually watch accuweather.com beginning the 15th and check the 15 day forecast to find out roughly when I can start putting the new plants in the ground.

Let me know if you need more info or ideas ...

How do you keep dogs out of the flowers in your yard?

I planted some flowers around a tree in my backyard and my two dogs haven%26#039;t touched them. So, I planted around another tree that was next to my deck. Well it seems that they walk through these flowers! I haven%26#039;t put mulch down yet. Any way to keep the dogs out and away from my newly planted flowers?

How do you keep dogs out of the flowers in your yard?
Get a small decorative fence and put it around the flowers. also when choosing mulch do not get cocoa chips. If your dogs eat these they will get very sick! It is made from the same tree that they make chocolate from and your dog can get the same poisoning as them eating chocolate ok.

Find a all natural mulch with no dyes or coloring. I prefer cedar my self mainly because the dogs really dont like the smell and tend to leave it alone. It not only good looking but it also keeps many bugs away too!
Reply:You welcome! Report It

Reply:Boundaries work. Planting through chicken wire will prevent dogs digging and from squirrels from digging up bulbs.

Telling the dog no, but you can%26#039;t be there all the time.

I%26#039;ve heard to not plant Yucca because the thorns are too big but to plant something with smaller thorns. Not sure if I like that advice.

I%26#039;ve heard to put pine cones in the mulch so it%26#039;s uncomfortable to walk on and yes, there are loads of dog repellents out there.
Reply:Put a couple of yucca cactus branches in your flower garden. Once they step on them they will not return.
Reply:My husband and I had this with our Weim.

He loves to dig in my mulch around my Japanese Maple.

We went to Home Depot and got a few sections of that white plastic decorative fencing.

He started to enter the area after we put the fencing in, but we got him out of there and now the boundary is physical. He doesn%26#039;t go in there much now.

Just make sure that the flowers you planted in there aren%26#039;t harmful to dogs.

I have some Lilies that I planted years ago that keep popping up in the spring. He loves to mess with them, but Lilies are harmful to dogs, so I have to be vigilant about keeping him away from them.
Reply:Give yur dogs away since yur so concerced with yur flowers and nothing else... or get that invisable fence ****.

Wedding colors and then appropriate flowers?

I have plenty of time to plan, we aren%26#039;t getting married until spring of 2009, but unlike most girls...I have not pondered on wedding colors. I have NO IDEA what the colors are going to be. He doesn%26#039;t want pink, light purple, or yellow. I was thinking teal, dark blue, and a really royal purple. Do those go well together for a spring wedding? But then what about flowers? What kind of flowers would go best with those colors?

Wedding colors and then appropriate flowers?
I%26#039;m not sure about any of those colors together. Why not choose one and accent it with something lighter and softer. I did royal purple with antique gold. I%26#039;m not big on matchy flowers, like red dresses with red flowers, seems like too much. I went with pink and cream roses, with cymbidium (spelling?) orchids. I was a little worried that it wouldn%26#039;t looked organized but it did, it was beautiful!

This link will help give you some color ideas.

http://www.specialtybios.com/colors.html

By the way, my wedding was early spring. I worried about the colors being too dark, but I loved the way it turned out.
Reply:We did a black and white wedding. I know it sounds weird, but my brides maid had black dresses, that were very nice, and could be worn again for a formal event. That way you could use any colors. We used red and white flowers(roses), and we also used silver. It is your day so take your time and try different ideas. Congrats!
Reply:In my opinion, the colors you chose should coincide with the season you are marrying in.

For your wedding, it will be in the spring, so you have a nice range of spring colors to choose from. I have always liked teal as a choice of color, or perhaps a royal blue. Lavenders, if not too light, are also nice. You can also mix a purple (or medium colored lavender) with a hint of navy blue. I feel that a straight navy blue color on a bridesmaid dress on film or digital will appear close to the color of black, and will lack detail.

The florist you choose will actually go over the choice of flowers available for that season, and weather conditions. It will depend on whether your wedding is indoors or not. Certain flowers wilt faster than others. I have always been fond of tulips, and they are quite sturdy, and in some states available in the spring. Of course roses for the bride are beautiful and come in an array of colors to match the colors of your wedding. With all flowers, keep them out of the direct hot sun!

I was a professional wedding photographer for many years. The lighter the colors, to be honest with you, the lighter they appear on film (or digital), because they appear washed out. If some of the girls in your wedding party have light skin, the very light colors will often wash out their faces. Try to pick colors that you really like, and also feel will look good on the girls. Then you can get cumber buns and/or vests for the guys%26#039; tuxedos to match the color scheme.

Congratulations and enjoy your engagement and wedding!
Reply:i am getting married in july 08. my colors are cornflower blue (if you look on davids bridal website) which is a bright pretty blue. my flowers are going to be blue, green and purple hydrangeas with accents of white roses and calla lilys. maybe something like this could work for you. good luck
Reply:Go to anyplace that sells bouquets and compare. Walmart, flea markets, Meijers, etc. would have a great selection. Compare and then you%26#039;ll have an idea from their selections. You can buy bushes for $1.00 each or less. Then when you decide, take them to your florist for them to match.
Reply:If you have no idea what color you want...that%26#039;s perfect. Really, it allows for so much flexibility. Gather up all the bridesmaids and find a color that looks good on all of them. Pick a handful of colors, and let them vote on it or ideally come to a consensus. Then you have your color.

When you have your color, go to the florist and say %26quot;What flowers come in this color?%26quot; It%26#039;s good to be as flexible with the florist as possible. So many women approach the florist with an exact idea of flowers and colors, and that%26#039;s what they get. But then they miss out on the creative ideas that the florist has and never even consider beautiful flowers that they haven%26#039;t even heard of.
Reply:I%26#039;d say mix dark and light- I think purple and yellow are very nice together, and totally spring appropriate (think tulips)
Reply:I like your idea for colours, but that%26#039;s pretty dark for a spring wedding. At least one major colour should be bright. Move up your wedding date, girl!!! Don%26#039;t do all this planning so soon.
Reply:Spring colors would do better if they were pastels, but it%26#039;s whatever you want!

A florist would be able to give you the honest opinions on the flowers.
Reply:the dark blue and royal purple are very wintery to me. Teal sounds kind of nice for a spring wedding though!!! I know he said no yellow, but man, that would look great with teal.... hmm....

some other options are celedon (a soft, airy light green-- gorgeeous color). it%26#039;s very springy and somewhat masculine... actually, the color of the green box surrounding this text on Yahoo Answers is sort of celedon! bright orange would look good with it, of course yellow again.... and a chocolate brown.

actually, our weddings in 17 days, and our colors are chocolate brown and sage green. were throwing in accents of yellow here and there, but it feels very earthy, and not too frou-frou. our flwoers are white and green-- the star-gazer lilly, bells of ireland, and white stock

as for flowers..... orange ones are easy to find. teal, not easy!

goood luck!!!!!
Reply:Personally if you are going to do a dark color you should have a lighter color to go with. As for flowers roses go with every color, and I like Fire and Ice Roses also Irises
Reply:I was in a wedding last weekend and their colors were sage green with pink flowers. Looked really nice and springy. :) Darker colors aren%26#039;t exactly traditional for a spring wedding, but if that%26#039;s what you want, go for it! Maybe do a dark dress and then lighter colored flowers. Like the dark blue or purple with yellow and white flowers? :) I%26#039;m sure whatever you do will be lovely. Congrats. :)
Reply:Cinderella,

I would totaly go for SPRING COLORS. You want to make your wedding beautiful and memorable. Those colors you chose are not the right colors for a spring wedding. You should make it fresh and lively. Her are some suggestions.

Colors :

1) Light sage just like the color that appears on the border of the %26quot;what%26#039;s your answer%26quot; page here on yahoo. You know, when you%26#039;re gonna answer someone%26#039;s question.

2) White, of course ( if you don%26#039;t like white you can go with a Bone color Pearl) But soemthing%26#039;s gotta be white

3) Beige or Tan

For flowers I say go with cream roses and white tulips or an arrangement of gardenias and tulips. It depends on the flowers you like.

Make your wedding subtle light and airy. Trust me Less is more. If you want to consult a florist and live in the LA Area. I can contact you with my brother In - Law%26#039;s Floral Shop.

He has great prices and BTW he did my wedding. It was awsome! He also has decoration servicesand is very good with colors. He can do the whole thing.

My e-mail:alh725@yahoo.com

COngrats! and Good Luck!
Reply:Spring weddings call for lighter colors. Having teal and maybe the royal purple accents would be appropriate, but dark blue is too much...not to mention terribly hard to find flowers for!! If he is against pink, light purple, and yellow, you can do something like seafoam green, periwinkle, or even a deep salmon or russet orange.

As far as flowers, the EASIEST thing to do is to go to your local craft store (like a Hobby Lobby or Michael%26#039;s), and take a look at their silk flowers. They will have the names of the flowers on them, and you have plenty of time to find out what is in season...and that%26#039;s VERY important. I had my heart set on using a special kind of orchids in my bouquet, only to find that they were out of season, and would have cost hundreds of dollars for one stem.

Another thing that you may want to consider is to use a florist%26#039;s assistant to do your flowers. They are just as good as most florists, and will do the job for half-price.

Whatever you choose, congratulations and good luck!!
Reply:those would look great in spring type flowers. Check out my website and I can help you out.

Who gets flowers?

I%26#039;ve got to start interviewing florists soon, and I%26#039;m trying to make a list of the flowers I%26#039;ll need for our wedding. I%26#039;ve got the centerpieces and the bouquets down, but I%26#039;m not sure who all is supposed to get a boutineer or corsage. Obviously the groomsmen get boutineers and the mothers get corsages, but who else? I want to have an accurate count so I can figure out my floral budget. Thanks! Oh, and what other arranged bouquets will I need as well? I know I%26#039;ll need a couple of arrangements for the altar, but what else?

Who gets flowers?
Okay!! Other than your bouquet and the centerpieces on the dinner tables, make sure you have other tables counted as well- if you are doing anything for the buffet table (if you are having one), gift table (ditto), guest book table, etc.

A few arrangements at the altar are nice, also decide if you want to have anything at the end of the pews and if so, are they going to be floral?

Dont%26#039;d forget flower petals - for the flower girls (if theyre allowed to drop them), as well as possibly having guests throw them on you (instead of rice, etc.), and possibly decorating tables with them.

For boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets, you have obviously the bride and groom, then the groomsmen and bridesmaids, and then mothers and fathers. Some people also choose to honor grandparents with corsages/boutonnieres, or any other guests you want to distinguish, such as godparents. It is also very nice to have anyone who is doing something for you in the ceremony, like reading or singing, to have one.

Also decide on if you want flowers or some other topper on your cake.

Oh and if your flower girls arent or cant drop petals, make sure you have something for them - a mini-bouquet or a pomander ball, or something.

And decide if you are planning to throw the bouquet-you may want a smaller, less expensive %26quot;tossing%26quot; bouquet instead of using your real one if you want to keep/preserve your own.

All of this is optional-you can stick to the bare bones (wedding party and parents) or flesh it out the the rest of this, but there shouldnt be anything I didnt put on the list that is usually done. Don%26#039;t forget if you want to save money or do things a little differently, you can use silk flowers instead of real ones, you can choose what types of flowers you use-different ones cost A LOT differently, you can have bridesmaids carry candles or flower girls ring bells, etc. You can also get bouquets and boutonnieres made out of swarovski crystals which are really pretty, or you could do non-floral centerpieces (like floating candles, etc). Just some ideas; good luck!!!
Reply:Don%26#039;t forget the ushers. And congratulations!!!
Reply:You%26#039;d be just as married if you had no flowers at all, so the answer is %26quot;anyone you%26#039;d to whom you%26#039;d care to make a gift of flowers.%26quot; Generally the bride has some sort of bouquet (to later throw) and the groom has some sort of buttonhole blossom. Everything beyond that is really just icing on the cake. If your florist tries to tell you otherwise, tell your florist that Miss Manners says and that he/she is just trying to pad the bill.
Reply:Some brides include the grandparents as well. I think it%26#039;s a nice gesture.

Good luck
Reply:We did-

Great Aunt (because my grandmothers are passed), his 5 sisters who are not in the wedding, sister%26#039;s husband not in the wedding, fathers, mothers and the groomsmen and bridesmaids and of coarse us.

Extra- Church flowers- talk to the church about what you need.
Reply:The fathers should get boutineers as well. Otherwise, I think you%26#039;ve got it covered.
Reply:Fathers of the bride and groom should get boutonnieres.

You may want to give boutonnieres and corsages to the grandparents of the bride and groom.

If you or your groom-to-be have godparents you may want to consider giving them boutonnieres and corsages too.
Reply:the florist knows.
Reply:Your bridesmaids, groomsman, the groom and the bride. Then the parents get one, perhaps the grandparents. Don%26#039;t worry about anyone else.

As far as decorative flowers, I suggest ditching anything that isn%26#039;t for your reception tables. Flowers are by far one of the biggest wedding rip offs. They cost a lot of money and die. Depending on your church/ceremony site, you may not need additional decor. BTW, I used ProFlowers.com, and they were great.
Reply:The flower girl needs petals. Get a buttonhole for the ring bearer. And the bridesmaids get bouquets.
Reply:A lot of the time bridesmaids get flowers as well. and any other who are in the wedding party like sisters brothers in laws and so forth you really need to know who is going to be part of the ceremony and what not cause they should have flowers and yes your grandparents should have one as well nieces and nephew don%26#039;t really need then only if they are old enough to have one or ware one

you should also find pictures of flowers and arrangements that you like so you can show the florist what you would like to have

hope this helps and good luck
Reply:A good loving heart is all you need.

Best Wishes

Will sending flowers can affect her job?

my g.f is a waitress and she is not feeling well i am thinking sending her flowers at work to appriciate how hard working she is but i dont know if i should because she is working in a restaurant. i dont want her to get embarrass or something akward like that. or even worse get fired. lol. i odnt know her manager that much so.. what should i do??

Will sending flowers can affect her job?
I%26#039;m sure she won%26#039;t get fired. She%26#039;ll most likely love the flowers. I don%26#039;t recommend 1800 flowers or any wire service. Your best bet is to walk into a flower shop.
Reply:do not sent anything coz being a waitress is always bz....might turn out bad.Cheers
Reply:Meet her and give her the flowers yourself. It%26#039;ll mean more to her than getting them at work when her mind has to be on her job.
Reply:I don%26#039;t know why a manager would get annoyed about someone getting flowers but your gf may be embarassed. There is a tiny chance that the flowers may not go down well with the boss. If you are really concerned maybe have them sent to the house or meet her after work with flowers instead, that way you have no issue and have the same effect. :o)
Reply:Why do get the feeling that you might be checking up on her..

To me it%26#039;s like you do not trust her or trying to spy if she is having an affair at work or something...

Or either I%26#039;m lying about you and just love her madly.. well if that%26#039;s the case... There is nothing wrong with admiring/spoiling your babe time en again... So sending her gifts at work wont be a problem at all.. In fact send her a whole bunch...(xxxx)
Reply:I just can%26#039;t imagine anyone ever getting fired over somone sending them flowers.

So you sailed away

Into a grey sky morning

Now I%26#039;m here to stay

Love can be so boring

And Nothing%26#039;s quite the same now

I just say your name now

Chorus

But it%26#039;s not so bad

You%26#039;re only the best I ever had

You don%26#039;t want me back

You%26#039;re just the best I ever had

So you stole my world

Now I%26#039;m just a phony

Remembering the girl

Leaves me down and lonely

Send it in a letter

Make yourself feel better

But it%26#039;s not so bad

You%26#039;re only the best I ever had

You don%26#039;t want me back

You%26#039;re just the best I ever had

And it may take some time to

Patch me up inside

But I can%26#039;t take it so I

I Run away and hide

And I may find in time that

You were always right

You%26#039;re always right

So you sailed away

WHAT COLOUR FLOWERS???

I am getting married in Sept 08 and I am going to hold RED hybrid lilies as my flowers (like oriential or tiger lilies.

My bridesmaid are going to be in a long strapless black dress with a claret (deep red) sash that ties and hangs down the front.

Would it look okay if they held white oriential lilies or should they hold the red as well???

PLEASE HELP!!!

WHAT COLOUR FLOWERS???
I prefer white. Then your flowers will stand out in pictures more and their flowers will definately pop against their black dresses, the white will definately look gorgeous!
Reply:Actually, if you added some white lilies to your bouquet, it would make it stand out much better than the bridesmaids. If they have all white, your exquisite red lilies will be washed out in the photos. Give them a few white and you a fistful arrangement of both.
Reply:I guess a blend of red and white, provided that the red is not the same deep red tone or hue as that of the sash.
Reply:I say let them hold either all white or all white with maybe one red lily. It%26#039;s always nice to see the different boquets ... you don%26#039;t want to match your bridesmaids ... be different.
Reply:I think the white would be great, the red may clash with the sash!
Reply:I would incorporate both, but if you don%26#039;t like that idea go with the white ones!
Reply:White would be nice, with a few of the red interspersed.
Reply:I like white. They will look striking against the dark dresses.
Reply:I like White! Congrats!
Reply:White with a dash of violet would look nice, too.
Reply:i like the idea of white

What Other Flowers Are....?

As hardy as day lilies and daffodils. I have lilies in a pot that I bought well before Halloween ( live in Alabama) did%26#039;t pay much attention to them in the winter. Now they are starting to sprout again. As for Daffodils, my Mom had some in her yard %26amp; the Gardener ran them over cutting grass... still they bloom.?. What other flowers are like that???????

What Other Flowers Are....?
You can leave the lilies in the pot or you can plant them outside, not where the gardener will mow.

Don%26#039;t let the gardener mow over your daffodils again, it is possible that they will bloom this year, it%26#039;s happened to me.

Iris, most all lilies, any other spring bulb-tulip, hyacinth, crocus, etc.
Reply:I live here in Detroit, but here is my list...

Hostas

Chinese Lanterns (they have been in my neighbors yard for over 75 years)

Leadwort - (plumbago) - it cameup from seed in my compost pile. My father mows over it everytime and its still there.

Miscanthus grass

Morning glories - I have been putting up the good fight to rip them out everytime I go out to weed. I keep losing.

I hope that gives you some inspirations - as a general rule of thumb, if I want something tough, I ask the fellas at the garden center what is native to here. I do real well with those (purple coneflower, black eyed susan, etc) but I think those need to freeze in order to flower.

Good Luck
Reply:Try Carolina Jasmine. Beautiful flowers and very hardy. They also grow prolifically.
Reply:Heard about Strawflowers, they are hardy. Look at them, they are some in my uncle%26#039;s nursery.
Reply:Iris%26#039;s are very hardy as well as peonies, several flowers are tough perennials I don%26#039;t know much about the Alabama climate or zone your in ,but I bet you could easily talk to some nurseries .And see what is hardy for your zone....There are several bulbs that do well like grape hyacinths,Narcissus.so many I could never name them all.get some gardening books from the library or purchase some and you can pick and choose good luck
Reply:I like dead nettle and sweet woodruff. Those are my favorites and they just can%26#039;t be killed, are perennial and they smell wonderful. Also try lemon thyme.

We have been in drought for 8 years and these are always beautiful and need very little attention. When everyone else%26#039;s flowers are looking dull and lifeless....these are pretty and enviable.

Good luck!

How long will my potted flowers from summer last?

I am a brand new gardner this year, and I potted several flowers (seed and blooming) this summer. I knew nothing about gardening, but my flowers have done pretty well this year and bloomed well. We live in Colorado Springs and I am curious as to how long I should expect them to live. It is already getting cold at night here, but I don%26#039;t know which ones, if any, I should bother bringing inside. I planted pansies, marigolds, petunias, geraniums, and several variations of daisies. Do any of these bloom again or are they pretty much a %26quot;one-time%26quot; kinda thing? And if they do bloom again, is it a decent regrowth or are you better off just calling it a loss and planting again next year? I also have herbs outside I dont know what to do with...sage, basil, chives, rosemary, oregano and thyme. Help! What should I do?

How long will my potted flowers from summer last?
All the flowers you mention are annuals, which mean they will only last through this season, so it is not worth bringing them inside - they may last a couple more weeks if the weather holds.

Here%26#039;s a link that will give you some tips for putting the garden to %26#039;bed%26#039; for the winter:

http://www.sheridannurseries.com/GardenS...
Reply:pansies, marigolds, petunias, geraniums, and some variations of daisies are annuals, they will last through one or two frosts. Pansies like cooler weather so they may last longer then your others. The marigolds may possibly reseed them selves mine always did.

Some of your herbs may come back on their own next year.

Next year you might want to consider using perennials so that they will come back the following year and all you will have to do them will be cover them at the end of the year. and It saves you money on not having to buy annuals each year.

You can also create yourself a small inside herb garden for your kitchen. Just plant your herbs in a pot and keep in front of a lighted window.

I planted annuals for many years in a row but with the prices of the annuals getting higher each year I finally decided i was throwing away money and plant all perennials now. Some times I will fill in with a few annuals just for a change of scenery.
Reply:PANSIES, MARIGOLDS, PETUNIAS, GERANIUMS, AND DAISIES ALL COME BACK NEXT YEAR SO, NOT TO FREAT. DIG UP YOUR HERBS AND POT THEM FOR INSIDE PLANTS UNTILL THE WHEATHER GETS WARM AGAIN, PLANT THEM BACK OUT SIDE AGAIN!

I want to send her flowers. Need advice on what type.?

Ok, so here is the skinny. I%26#039;ve been dating this girl for 1 week now. We are obviously very into each other (actions speak louder than words; if you get my drift). I want to send her some flowers, but I am not sure on the composition. We are obviously well beyond friends. So my question is how many flowers? What type(s)? And what colors would be best. She likes the color pink so I thought about sending some pink roses...but I dunno. Thanks for your help, and I will be sure to choose a best response.

I want to send her flowers. Need advice on what type.?
wow, get a tattoo of a flower on your shoulder for her. Nothing says your love like a flower on a bulging bicep. then use a magic marker to put her name below the flower cause honestly, you built this relationship on lust, and in another week your be screwing lug nuts onto cars wishing you were faster cause then you could work in the nascar pits
Reply:A small bouguet of pink carnations would be nice. Carnations last longer than roses and I personally think they%26#039;re prettier. :)
Reply:pink roses is a great idea, send half a dozen. Long stemmed are more romantic. dont forget the card.
Reply:Pink Roses are a very good idea though you%26#039;ll have to consult another poster in regards to the exact number that would be appropriate.
Reply:pink calla lilies are nice
Reply:Whoa! You%26#039;re sleeping with her after a week! Very bad idea. You should be dating for about three months before you consider giving flowers, much less sleeping with her! Anyway, good luck with the flowers. I don%26#039;t think she%26#039;ll care what kind you get. Good night!
Reply:Pink roses are nice, but in my opinion, roses are overused. Be unique and get her a different type of flower, like lilies. I would choose a small number of flowers, because a dozen just seems like overkill. Be sure and have a romantic card, or even better, a sweet note that you%26#039;ve written. No matter what you do, she%26#039;ll be happy that you thought to do something like this for her (every girl loves to be pampered once in a while).
Reply:One single pink rose says it best and is simple and romantic.
Reply:Send her red roses... Every girl loves Roses... I know i do ... I love geting roses every now and then...
Reply:i%26#039;d send her pink orchids. they%26#039;re unique and many are pink.

roses are too typical. PLEASE don%26#039;t get her carnations!
Reply:flower shops can get pre-arranged sets for you, but I would go small as the person above me said. If you insist on buying yourself, throw in little variety.
Reply:Send her half a dozen pink roses with a card. She will love it.
Reply:you have been with this girl for a week and you already wont to send flowers you%26#039;ve got it bad!!! NOW pink roses are nice but its to soon for roses pink carnations are fine for now

I am going to give this girl I like some flowers I need help?

Well, I am going to send this girl flowers, and they are going to ask me what I want to say on the little card; I am not sure exactly what to say. I know I want to say something like have a great or wonderful week. I like her to though so I want to write something in there after the first part that will show here that. Something that says I like you and have a great week. If anyone has any suggestions on something I could write in the note with the flowers that says have a great week, and I like you I would appreciate them . I am usally great at writing these sort of things, and for some reason I have not been able to think of anything lately. Also, my cousin told me to just send her flowers because I am just saying I like her. Then I had a friend of mine tell me to include one rose maybe white with the arrangment. Should I include any roses, and if so what color? Or should I just stick with a flower arrangment, and no roses? Thanks again in advance for any help.

I am going to give this girl I like some flowers I need help?
I would write: %26#039;You were on my mind..%26#039; or something like that..its not too serious, but lets her know that you have some kind of feelings for her (more than friendship...)

I think flowers are great..just think carefully about the color and the type of flower you send..they all have a meaning:)
Reply:I don%26#039;t know how old you are but if you are a teenager or very young adult you should probably send her carnations or a flower arrangement. A single white rose in the arrangement would be a classy touch. Also, as to the sentiment: maybe a line like %26quot;Thinking of you.%26quot; Believe me, less is more when it comes to the message because you are sending her FLOWERS and that will do the talking for you. I hope that she likes them. Good luck.
Reply:for me i would advice 4 you to keep it real simple for now,a nice arrangement you think she would love and maybe a note that says, hope work is going great, enjoy these flowers to show i care, have a great week!u kno not to feel rushed or anything so depending on how she receives them then you can move on from there.
Reply:Yellow roses are for friendship.. As for writing in the card, just say .. something like.. Hope you have a great week, thinking of you ....
Reply:Write. Thinking of you.

Or. Thinking of you with a heart next to it.

For most girls roses mean love, or like. Red definitely means love so try a peach, or pink rose.
Reply:I think roses are too romantic, especially if they%26#039;re red, white, or pink. Maybe a yellow rose would be alright if you really wanted to include one. A basic flower arrangement would be fine - if you give the florist a price range they%26#039;ll do a good job of picking out some flowers that looks nice together. As far as the card goes, how about putting something along the lines of, %26quot;I hope this brightens your week sweetheart!%26quot; That would pretty much get your point across that you like her without coming right out and saying it. I personally love it when my boyfriend calls me sweetheart, it%26#039;s the cutest name.
Reply:if i were you i would keep it simple and pretty much say what you already told us. say something like I hope you have a really great weekend, babe. and just you sending the flowers and saying the you hope that she has a good one will let her know that you like her. and then if she doesn%26#039;t get it the babe part will let her know that you mean it as something more than a friend. ( unless of course you call all girls by babe ) good luck hope it works out for you!

oh and it is just my personal opinion but roses are so cliche, but then again to most girls roses do say love and romance.
Reply:I would welcome flowers from any guy and would not mind if the card just said %26quot;have a nice day%26quot;. What a lovely thought. And ANY kind of flowers would do! Don%26#039;t send roses though because that implies romance. just plain, basic flowers to start with.

Help with flower colors that go well with champagne and latte and camo?

I am having a hard time deciding on colors for my flowers. I am wearing ivory with champagne, my Maid of Honor is wearing latte and the Bridesmaids are wearing champagne. The Groom and Best Man are wearing camo vests and the other Men are wearing champagne vest. I can%26#039;t think of any colors that will go well with everything. My fiance%26#039; thinks orange and cream but I just don%26#039;t know or maybe peach. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Help with flower colors that go well with champagne and latte and camo?
You of course have to go with your own tastes, but go with bright colors to contrast the neutral pallate. Peach would just blend in. I think orange would be nice, if it was a super-saturated orange, or red would also be nice, all with lots of white around it.
Reply:Those are the colors I am also having in my wedding minus the camo which my dad is very sad about. I am going with peach shades and ivory to go with my ivory and champange dress. For my bridesmaids that are wearing the Latte they will be holding flowers in shades of pink.
Reply:Darker pinks I think would look best.

Are the guys wearing brown camo or green?
Reply:Easy. You need something that will not clash with either. BURGUNDY will go well. Think of how many burgundy-and-green plaids you have seen. And burgundy and champagne are an easy, pleasing sell.

Flashy bright red will probably not go that well. Peach is not that good because peach will be too close to the champagne of the dresses, and they won%26#039;t be visible enough.

Think about this. The most expensive parts of a wedding are the pictures, the dress, and the flowers. And if you can%26#039;t see the FLOWERS because they melt into the DRESS when you are looking atthe PIPCTURES, you%26#039;ve wasted a lot of effort.
Reply:I love the look of champagne or golds with hot pink mixed with cotton candy pink. Very nice. You would definitely need a bright color against those muted tones.

Reply:First of all, great color scheme, I love it! As for the flowers, how about fall colors? I know it%26#039;s winter and everything but I think that would look pretty, especially with the camo. You could even put some fake fall colored leaves in the flower bouquets to give it a little something extra. You could also get some flowers dyed the champagne and/or latte colors.

Congrats and good luck!

i%26#039;m looking to purchse a get well gift, flowers, balloons, a bear, for a friend over in london...a man in his 20s. i live in the united states. where can i purchase something like this? like a website? i%26#039;ve tried 1800 flowers and all of their packages that can be shipped to his area are quite pricey and very feminine looking. i%26#039;m looking to spend less than 30 dollars for the actual price of the product. maybe a little more if it%26#039;s all that i can find. and more for shipping of course. i also need it guranteed for delivery next week on a specific day. any suggestions? or any suggestions for DIFFERENT get well gifts that can be sent here? thank you so much!

Where can i buy inexpensive flowers online from the us and have them shipped to the uk?
In the UK there is a service called interfora which arranges for a local florist to make up the order and deliver it.
Reply:You will be better off using an online florist based in the UK.
Reply:It%26#039;s actually cheaper (than using Interflora etc) if you know whereabouts he is in the UK and have a look for florist shops close to him that accept c/c.

Cuts down on costs heaps, you can always ask if they have a website where you can pick the arrangement you want as well.

What plants/flowers would have been historically planted in the midwest at the turn of the century?

My home (built 1917) had well-known gardens back in the %26#039;20s and we want to restore them. Does anyone know what sort of plants or flowers would have been common then? And which will keep the gardens looking colourful %26amp; lush in at least 3 of the seasons? (I%26#039;m in the Great Lakes region)

What plants/flowers would have been historically planted in the midwest at the turn of the century?
Most certainly there would have been Hollyhocks, Cosmos, Roses, Salpiglossis, Zinnias, Heliotrope, Phlox, Delphinium, Lupines; and occasionally some exotics such as Canna %26amp; Eremurus.

Victorian %26amp; English gardens were still very popular into the 1920%26#039;s, so many of those plants may have been in your original garden scheme.
Reply:Peri winkle, peonies, rose of sharon, yellow and red and yellow and pink wild roses, dog woods, azaleas, horseradish, rhubarb, tansy, dill, sage, lavender, little violets, tulips, lilies, lilacs., iris. That should give you a start.
Reply:For sure there would have been daisies, poppies, bleeding heart, geraniums and peonies.

I envy you being able to do this.Have fun and talking to your local lawn and garden store would likely be helpful to you also.

Good Luck.
Reply:The things that I remember from my childhood home, built in the 1800%26#039;s in MN are: lily of the valley, ferns, peonies, lilac, day lilies (those orange ones), hydrangea, viburnum, bridal wreath, hollyhocks, flowering fruit trees - plum and apple, roses - single flowers, very fragrant. All these things are low maintainence - that%26#039;s why they survived.

I would guess that sweet william, daffodils and phlox were also common.
Reply:Our little community in western N Dakota uncelebrated it%26#039;s centennial this summer. We Master Gardeners in the area built a %26#039;homestead garden%26#039; at our local museum and stocked it with plants common at the turn of the century. Many of the plants came from my gardens. I%26#039;ve been collecting these plants for years from area cemeteries, abandoned towns, farms and ranches. Some have names and stories attached most have nothing more than a description like %26#039;yellow rose from Tete%26#039;s ranch%26#039;. !917 is recent history and a trip to a local nursing home will supply you with all the info you need and make some friends as well. Should i confront my boyfriend? i think he sent flowers to someone else.?

i went to the flower shop today to order flowers for a friend of mine whose aunt pasted away. well apparently they already had my number and address in the system. it was under my b/f%26#039;s name! i asked the lady how did they get that info, and she said that its in there because he was either a reciever or a sender of flowers from their shop. my b/f and i have been together for 5 years now and we%26#039;ve been living together for 5 years as well. i know he wouldn%26#039;t order flowers, i don%26#039;t even think he knows how! all i know is that i wasn%26#039;t the one to recieve them. i don%26#039;t know if i should confront him, hes just going to deny it and we%26#039;re just going to end up fighting. besides do i really want to know the truth? either way i don%26#039;t think ill have the courage to leave him, i have noone else..he supports me through school..he works and pays all the bills..what do i do!?

Should i confront my boyfriend? i think he sent flowers to someone else.?
relax. maybe he ordered you something for Valentines%26#039; Day. you have to order way in advance for that.
Reply:In five years he has never sent you flowers? Are you sure? And if not, how do you know he didn%26#039;t send some to his mom or sister or a friend in need like you just did? Just based on what you say here, there is no reason to suspect he did anything wrong whatsoever. Now, if you have OTHER reasons to think he might have, then you have every right to confront him on this. Otherwise, mention to him that you just bought flowers for your friend and thought it was weird they had your info and see how he reacts. Unless you have another good reason to be suspicious of your boyfriend, I%26#039;d be willing to bet he either knows nothing about it, or he%26#039;ll kindly remind you that he DID buy you or someone you know flowers and you just forgot.

All that said, you DO want to know the truth. It doesn%26#039;t matter what your situation is, NO ONE should stay with a man who is cheating on them or manipulates them in any way. You DO have the courage to leave if you have to. But you%26#039;d better make sure you have a good reason first!
Reply:5 years huh. did you ask her if she knew the date it was sent? maybe that would help, maybe you forgot some reason he sent them in the last 5 yrs. find out that info first.
Reply:You my friend are paranoid. Didn%26#039;t you just order flowers for a friend? Why couldn%26#039;t his situation be similar. Ordered flowers from everyone at work to go to another employee or boss. MAybe his boss asked him to get flowers for his wife. Maybe he ordered them for his mom. Maybe he ordered them for an ex before you were with him. But it doesn%26#039;t really matter because you sound like you have your mind made up about him so he cheated but your useing him so what%26#039;s the difference!!!!!
Reply:You just said you don%26#039;t think he even knows how to order flowers. What the heck, if he%26#039;s good to you, let it go. Since you don%26#039;t want to know, don%26#039;t ask. It won%26#039;t make a bit of difference on what you do with the relationship anyway.
Reply:If you don%26#039;t plan on leaving, then why mention it? Do you think he%26#039;s going to stop? BTW, if he finds someone and he leaves, then what are you going to do?

Why don%26#039;t you try being really nice to him - no complaining, lots of whatever he likes (physical, emotional), and see if he gets closer or pushes away. That%26#039;s more effective than nagging him.

BTW, that%26#039;s one of the problems of living together without marriage - he can dump you like a stone and you%26#039;re swinging in the wind!
Reply:IF HE%26#039;S GIVEN YOU REASONS IN THE PAST NOT TO TRUST HIM THEN THIS IS A SIGN THAT SHOULD TELL YOU HE MIGHT BE SENDING SOMEONE ELSE FLOWERS. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH YOU DESERVE THAT RIGHT, IF HE DENIES IT THEN YOU NEED TO TELL HIM IF HE IS SEEING SOMEONE ELSE TO END IT OR YOU WILL LEAVE HIM, YOU HAVE YOURSELF TO THINK ABOUT SCHOOL IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A GUY, THATS A LONG TIME TO DATE WITH A GUY BUT IF YOU THINK HE%26#039;S BEING UNFAITHFUL TO YOU YOU NEED TO KNOW. WOULD YOU RATHER NOT KNOW AND WORRY ABOUT IT, THINK ABOUT IT IF HE IS CHEATING ON YOU THEN YOU NEED TO MOVE ON, TO SOMEONE THAT WILL RESPECT YOU AND LOVE YOU, AND HELP SUPPORT YOUR DREAMS. YOU DESERVE SOME ONE BETTER THAN A GUY THAT WILL CHEAT AND LIE TO YOU.
Reply:He probably sent some to his mom on Mother%26#039;s day or something. Don%26#039;t start the %26quot;jealous girlfriend%26quot; thing over something that might be completely wrong. I had a girlfriend that started getting suspicious and controlling for no reason and the relationship went downhill once that started. I just didn%26#039;t want to be someone%26#039;s outlet for their own problems, and I bet he wouldn%26#039;t want that either.
Reply:I think that you should confront him, because not knowing hurts more beleive me i know ive been in the same situationa as you, although it was texts not flowers still simular,

It may be nothing to worry about he may be planning to send you flowers for valentines day.

But if you dont confront him it will onl;y make things worse.

I didnt want to confront my partner either but im glad i did, But before i confronted him bout it the tension in the house and around our relationship was horrible. Get the courage and ask him. Good luck.
Reply:You need to calm down and stop jumping to conclusions. Maybe he had the same thing happen that he wanted to send flowers to his mother or aunt or something. Before you string him up a tree maybe ask for his side of the story.... Geez women are crazy.... A guy doesn%26#039;t even have to do anything wrong and you all are all ready to kill him for it.. Chill out!
Reply:Don%26#039;t jump to conclusions. Within the 5 years you have been together, he could for all you know have been sending flowers to another lady in his his life who is family. His mother%26#039;s birthday, sister%26#039;s birthday, aunt%26#039;s birthday, or maybe if one of them was ill, you never know. If you really think that he%26#039;s been cheating, keep a close eye on him but don%26#039;t confront him unless you%26#039;re sure, you don%26#039;t want to let your relationship with him be over because you can%26#039;t trust each other.

Good Luck

Reply:Ya, dont worry about it. Even if it was for someone else, theres a good chance it wasnt romantic
Reply:If you want to confront him it%26#039;s all up to you. But first, try sending flowers to yourself anonymously and see how he reacts. How do you think he would feel if you received flowers from someone else and not him?
Reply:awww well if u really love someone someday in your life yur going to have to let him go but maybe its a surpirize for valentines day maybe its a trick idk or maybe hes even sending it to one of his family members or u should just casually be talking to him and say like i went to the flower shop today or whatever its called and be like i was trying to send flowers to _________... and they all ready knew my info or whatevr and c what he sais. idk thats what i would do!

hope my answer helps! :D
Reply:Are you sure that he didn%26#039;t order the flowers for you for Valentines Day. Remember it is only a week away. He probably put his order in early. The workers at the shop would help him put his order in. I would not worry about it until after Valentines Day and then you might consider asking him.
Reply:I wouldnt get mad right away. There may be a reason. But yes confront him you have all the right in the world to know.
Reply:Who cares if he supports you, I left my ex with 36 bucks and a pice of crap car. Have some self esteem and grow up.

What are some annual flowers I can plant in full sun?

I have 2 large flower pots on my front porch. I need some flowers that do well in hot full afternoon sun.

What are some annual flowers I can plant in full sun?
I agree - petunas, begonias, geraniums, lantana. A good tip for pots is this. You need 3 types of flowers in each pot. A trailing plants(creeping jenny, ivy, wave petuna, sweet potato vine)a mounding plant like begonia, regular petunas or marigolds, and a taller spikey plant - geranium etc. That way you pots have some flowers hanging over the side, some mounded and some sticking up. Make sure everything you plant in one pot is all %26quot;sun%26quot; or all %26quot;shade%26quot; plants. One other tip is to put a diaper in the bottom of the pot. The diaper absorbs water and releases it a little at a time.
Reply:I agree with the Petunia, geranium, marigold, vinca and the rest except for Pansies...They really like it a little cooler...What%26#039;s great about pansies however is that you can

plant them earlier in the spring and late in the fall as they will tolerate frost and coooler temps..Snapdragons are another good plant and if you let them go to seed...new plants will emerge next spring..
Reply:Petunias love the sun and are beautiful. Marigolds are also sun lovers but both still need water.
Reply:Geraniums do great in full sun. You%26#039;ll get lots of color all summer long.

You might want to try some Vinca vine to help fill in the flower pot around the edges.
Reply:Sunflowers! Not kidding.
Reply:pansys

geraniums
Reply:Begona (Begonia X Semperflorens) No Wonder they call me a plant nerd at school. Any ways they have waxy leaves and have a great foliage color assortment.

Winter squash - too many flowers?

I have 4 winter squash plants on my balcony which are doing really well. The problem is there in pots and they all have about 5 flowers on, i%26#039;m worried the nutrition in the soil will get used up, i know there preatty greedy. Shall i pinch out some of the flowers?

Winter squash - too many flowers?
There a male and female flowers on a squash. The ones with the long stem are male and don%26#039;t produce squash. The short stem ones are the female and will produce squash. I take the males off when they are in full bloom, dip them in egg and then in seasoned flour and fry them. They are delicious! By the time they are full grown flowers the females are polliated so you don%26#039;t have to worry. It really doesn%26#039;t matter how many squash are on the plant. They will mature, just be sure to pick them young, while they still are tender and have small seeds.
Reply:As the season progresses, squashes tend to begin flowering profusely. This is because there is less likelihood of fruits setting, so just enjoy the show! Keep feeding them as you have been and adjust water according to temperatures and wind, etc.

Happy gardening!

gg
Reply:Get some MiracleGro at a hardware store or garden center. Dilute 1 teaspoon in 1 gallon of water and use instead of plain water. It%26#039;s a plant food that will provide all the nutrition they need. If you pick off the flowers, you won%26#039;t get any squash from them. Good luck!
Reply:Should not need to.

- Add fertilizer (small amount)

-- If plant starts to get pale or spindly

-- If fruit seems too small at maturity
Reply:fertilize to replenish the nutrients. If you pinch out some of the flowers (or the ones that show up after you have a squash growing) you will have a bigger squash

How do you collect seeds from Chrysanthemum flowers.?

I%26#039;ve recently fell in love with these flowers and trying to learn as much about them as I can.

I know that it is better to take cuttings from these plants, but I would also like to try growing some from seeds as well.

I%26#039;ve been told by some, to leave the flowers on the bush until they completely die out before removing the seed buds (so that they are germinated properly) and then let them dry out for another few weeks on a tray before planting them.

Then I was also told by others, that I can just remove the spent blooms from the bushes so long as the flowers are starting to wilt, and let them dry out on a tray for a couple of weeks before sowing.

Which is the correct way please as I%26#039;m somewhat confused.? lol.!

Do men really want flowers?

I%26#039;ve been talking to a few men and they say that they would like flowers on valentines day as well. What about you men out there do you really want flowers as a gift?

Do men really want flowers?
No, those men are trying to seem %26#039;sensitive%26#039;. Men dread valentines day, and don%26#039;t want you to outdo them with your gift. A simple card will more than suffice.

What am I doing wrong with my flowers?

Okay, every spring my daughters, my husband and I like to plant flowers.

This year, we have gotten Marigolds, Impatients, Pansies, and a couple of others.

We also planted sunflowers that are about the only things that are coming along nicely.

The Marigolds, I was told are very hard to kill, but they are dying, nonetheless. All of the half blooms are drying up and falling off, and we water everything daily. The soil is nice and moist and we have mixed flower food into the soil as well.

The pansies are a disaster. There are no longer any flowers left, but the stems are all nicely green and healthy. The Impatients are going the same road as the Pansies, and I am getting very frustrated.

I know I am not the best, and generally have a blue thumb as opposed to a green one, but I was assured all we picked out were very hard to kill and that all would be fine in direct sun as we have little shade here.

Any suggestions would be great.

What am I doing wrong with my flowers?
Pansies do not like hot weather. and if you are watering everything daily.. you might be watering to much... if you marigolds are drying out and dying.. are the leaves drying too? or just the blossoms? because some flowers you need to dead head before lots of blooms come back.

Petunias and dianthses work well in direct sunlight. good luck!
Reply:Try not to water so much. Pinch back the marigolds, and they will thrive. They won%26#039;t grow as full unless you deadhead the spent blooms. Don%26#039;t feel bad about pinching them back, you can dry out the seeds and use them to plant next year! :) Good luck!
Reply:Sounds like something is having a good meal. Spray with soap and water, Than throw a little Epsom salt in there. Water in well. You should see mine after I gave them Epsom salt,WOW! I%26#039;m going to have to trim them back!
Reply:mabey ask a gardener at a near-by staore. remeber to water them though but not to much or to littlle
Reply:You might be overwatering them. Daily could sometimes be too much, especially if they are planted directly into the ground. It usually retains its moisture much longer then pots. My container plants that are in direct sunlight for 8 good hours of the day, only need to be watered every other day.

Impatients are shade lovers from what I know. And Pansies I don%26#039;t think like the heat, always seem to do better in the spring or the fall.

Guys - how do you feel if someone sends you flowers on your birthday?

I%26#039;ve been arguing with my mom on this one for a long time now, but I have an aunt that moved away. When she was closer she would usually bake a special cake on my birthday or my sisters. But since she moved away she sends flowers as well as a card and a gift; the flowers usually arrive by a florist on the day. The first time this happened I felt really embarrassed about it and didn%26#039;t like it. My mom thought it was nice and send it is a custom and not a big deal. Then it happened again last year and some guy friends saw them - none of them have ever had flowers for their birthday before although one had a cousin that had - we were able to laugh it off to a nutty aunt, but it was still awkward. Now with my b%26#039;day coming up again I already know that flowers will be coming this year. I%26#039;ve said to my mom that I wish she%26#039;d say to not bother or use the money for something else or save it, but my mom%26#039;s mad at me and told me to thank her when they come

I can%26#039;t be the only guy who feels this way

Guys - how do you feel if someone sends you flowers on your birthday?
I understand it%26#039;s a little unusual for men, but I doubt anyone will think less of you at all truly for merely recieving flowers from a family member. I am surprised your mother doesn%26#039;t understand how you%26#039;re feeling though, I%26#039;ve recieved embarressing gifts before but my parents were always understanding and they felt less guilt than me when disposing of them. Your birthday is supposed to be an enjoyable time for you, and the last thing she should be worrying about is etiquette on your behalf. I think it would be quite easy for her to discretely hint your aunt to not send them, she might not succeed, but I%26#039;m surprised she will not even attempt to remedy the situation. But as i said, don%26#039;t worry about it, it%26#039;s likely no one will even see them, make sure your mates aren%26#039;t around when they%26#039;re getting delievered if you can and put them in a room where your friends won%26#039;t go when they come round? I%26#039;m sure may guys your age feel the same way, but when you get older I think most realise that they%26#039;re just a nice gesture. Hope you have a good birthday!
Reply:My sister always sends me flowers for my birthday. I thought it was peculiar at first. I was living in a dorm and got a lot of comments, for sure. But now I understand it as a representation of her love and I even look forward to getting them. Be happy that someone cares enough to send you flowers. And maybe send HER flowers on HER birthday. I bet she%26#039;d love it.
Reply:It%26#039;s not my thing. Personally I think buying dead plants is a waste of time. If they got me something that was still in roots then maybe. I will buy flowers for a girl if I know that she likes it. I think the whole idea is to make the other person happy on their birthday, not yourself.

I wouldn%26#039;t complain about your aunt though. She cares for you. That%26#039;s a good thing.
Reply:well my brother got flowers from his gir freind and he said well atleast she thouht of me and i gave my boyfreind flowers and her sister said he waters them every day so dont worry it is sooo normal i mean you should like them its alright and also u can pass it on to a girl u like or ur girlfreind and girls love it when a guy brings them flowers!

hope i helped!
Reply:I think they are a waste of money, but it seems that your Mom likes to have your flowers around the house. When you get your own place, you can tell your aunt you%26#039;d rather have socks or underwear. LOL
Reply:I do think it%26#039;s a little odd, but it%26#039;s nothing compared to being a total ingrate. Grow up.
Reply:No, I%26#039;d be embarrassed to get flowers as a gift too. Maybe talk to your aunt about it.
Reply:Your an immature little thing aren%26#039;t you? They%26#039;re just flowers. Get over it.
Reply:I%26#039;d rather get something useful. Flowers just die in a few days.
Reply:You are not the only guy. I have felt like this before. the truth is..... I LOVE FLOWERS!
Reply:Give them to your mom.
Reply:Excited, because now I have a %26#039;get out of jail free%26#039; card that I didn%26#039;t have to buy with my own money!
Reply:LOL... run... run from the flowers before they turn you into a girl!!! Ha ha.... Seriously, I agree with gadgitgirlmbl they%26#039;re just flowers which is a sign of love and feelings for you. It%26#039;s a nice thing that your aunt is showing you in a way that she can while being away from you. Don%26#039;t be so nasty about it. If you%26#039;re that embarrassed then hide them like Double X said from your guy friends, but say thanks to your aunt and show her some respect too.

What kind of plants/flowers/rocks are good to do for landscaping?

I have some planters full of dry dirt. What would be good to put in there and how? If flowers, what are some good ( low cost) flowers I could plant that grow well in summer in SoCal heat? The area gets some shade and sunlight. I also have a dog who loves to dig, so if there is something else I could put there, those ideas are good too. I have no idea!

What kind of plants/flowers/rocks are good to do for landscaping?
First off, get your planters good and wet. One way to do it is to shower with a few pots on the shower floor to collect the water. A little soap wont hurt, I hear you have a watering ban on occasion. Portulaca is nice, it is drought tolerant and will do well in containers. Loves sun. Try a wave petunia if you can find it and the container is large enough, those things are nuts, no clean, prolific.

Attn: Married women/men...A woman sends MY husband flowers at his work...We just found out who did it...?

Someone sent my husband (of 10 years) flowers at his work, the card said %26quot;An old friend from high school wants to wish you a Merry Christmas, XXXXXXXX%26quot;. Well, after a week of not knowing who they were from, my husband found out today after harrassing the flower shop. Turns out she is someone we both know, having went to school with her 15 years ago in our SMALL town. We both just saw her a few weeks ago at a local restaurant. He always felt like she had a crush in school and I could see her flirty ways on the few occasions we were ever around her. My question is, now that I know who she is what should I do? I want to handle this with class and not just call her and cuss, scream and threaten her. My husband brought these flowers home directly to me the day he got them. He has also assured me he had done nothing to provoke this. I thought about sending her some %26quot;thank you%26quot; flowers and signing the card with MY name but I want to see what YOU think....Thanks!!

Attn: Married women/men...A woman sends MY husband flowers at his work...We just found out who did it...?
Send her a thank you card stating that %26quot;John and I enjoyed the flowers. thank you from BOTH of us%26quot; That way she knows that you have found out that she sent them and that he did not keep them a secret from you.
Reply:I think the best way to do it with class would be to simply ignore it. Because when you start to react in ANY way, that is all she needs. Ignoring the issue would be a polite way to show her that her gesture was the inappropriate one. (After all, she could of have sent it home to your husband, not to his place of work like he has something to hide!) The best thing to do would be to not react to her actions in any way by simply ignoring her. Because your reaction is all she thrives for.
Reply:Sounds like she%26#039;s in the same city as you? If so, when you both see her again, which it%26#039;s inevitable you will, your husband should say something like...%26quot;oh hey, thanks for the flowers, we really enjoyed them%26quot;, and move on to your destination. Put her on the spot, she%26#039;ll feel like a complete heal after he brings that up in front of you. In the mean time, give your hubby a big kiss and thank God every day for him, as men like that don%26#039;t come around very often. Some tend to get big heads and big ego%26#039;s. Sounds like he%26#039;s a classy guy, and you a classy woman.
Reply:She means nothing to your husband. Let it go. You will be glad you did in the longrun, and nobody will lose their job at the flower shop! Enjoy your flowers. If she tries to contact your husband again, you can say something then.

You have no problem here.....Happy New Year!
Reply:YES l agree with you. Don%26#039;t send her flowers but send her a thank-you card. Atleast then she will get the message that you know all about the flowers. If she was a half decent woman she would have sent the flowers to both of you. I would say that she was just testing the water to see what your husband would do. Atleast you know you can fully trust him. Good for you. Best of luck and Happy New Year to you both.
Reply:Ignore her. Don%26#039;t let her know he got them, don%26#039;t let her know what the reaction was.

Any sort of response will likely only encourage her, if she%26#039;s still %26quot;hung up%26quot; on your hubby.
Reply:yes if you want her to know so she wn%26#039;t continue on or do anything even more daring yet do it with class thats a good way you m entioned . send her thank you flowers with a note back and she will be aware that you both know. what you and he say in the card im sure you%26#039;ll think the right words up wink wink.
Reply:Wow, the female answers are all over the place, aren%26#039;t they?

As a guy, it seems to me that the responsibility to respond - if there is any - should come from your husband.

However, I wouldn%26#039;t do anything. It was a very dumb idea of hers to send a married man flowers for Christmas. It was, as the Brits say, %26quot;bad form.%26quot;

The best way to respond to bad form, in my humble opinion, is to ignore it, laugh at it, make fun of it, forget about it, but DON%26#039;T respond to it. Responding to it gives it validity. And, this very pathetic attempt at stirring up something does not merit a response.

(I%26#039;ll bet the poor woman is already embarrassed that she did it. Let her stew in her own juices - that would be the best punishment.)
Reply:i believe that you should send a thank you note with your name and your husbands... in that case she may see that your husband doesnt hide anything from you .. and that you guys know that it was her... so that the next time she has the intention of sending your husband something she%26#039;ll think twice about it... although their are some canniving women out there... but try to give her the benefit of a doubt .... if she gets out of hand and dare to take another advance at your husband ... then you AND your husband need to set her straight ... WITHOUT the cussing and all of that... like 2 civilized people.....

GOOD LUCK
Reply:I%26#039;m glad you decided to handle this with class!

Showing anger and vengeful outbursts only show how immature you would be, if you went %26#039;after%26#039; her.

Your idea of sending her flowers is actually a %26#039;great%26#039; idea.

But i think I would go %26#039;one step%26#039; further than that.

With the flowers you send her, also send a invitation to your house for dinner!

If she accepts (she might if she%26#039;s a weirdo), let her see how much you and hubby are in love, and in a very %26#039;classy%26#039; way you

can let her know he%26#039;s %26#039;not%26#039; available for loan..

But if she%26#039;s a normal human being, she won%26#039;t accept the invite

and will get the message loud and clear..

BUT be prepared if she does accept.

And handle it with %26#039;CLASS%26#039; a lot of class%26#039; (know what I mean).
Reply:Um. you have already handled this without class by harassing the flower shop people. Ignore it, and enjoy the flowers. She wrote nothing inappropriate on the card. Your husband has been upfront and honest (good man)...you are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Do you want drama in your life...because you about to create it.
Reply:I%26#039;d send her a card with your signature and say thank you, I really enjoyed your flowers to my husband. Not necessary to send future flowers....
Reply:YEAH!!!!!

pay back 4 that!
Reply:i would take the flowers and march right up to her and hand them back. tell her he%26#039;s taken and just leave.
Reply:sending her flowers back is a good idea. make sure you tell her that you and your husband wish her a merry Christmas too.. make sure you included both of your names.. good luck!! and keep an eye on her.. don%26#039;t trust any one .. i am pretty sure that you have a good husband, treat him right...
Reply:girl i have been with my hubby 7 years and i would probably be ready to hurt the girl but i like your idea of sending her thank you flowers be sure to put my husband and i really enjoyed the flowers what a niece gift you gave us i think those words would slap her harder than any real slap so do it (it%26#039;s the classy way to handle her)
Reply:She certainly has some nerve, but you shouldn%26#039;t do anything. Your husband should set the record straight by telling her he is happily married. If she keeps harassing him she is clearly psycho and needs therapy. Good Luck!
Reply:ok, so this old crush that probably does not know that he is involved sends flowers to your husband, ok, maybe she even knows that you two are married but sent them as a meaningles gesture of old time friendship, nothing to get all hysterical about and threaten armageddon on her entire family tree

like you said, you wish to handle it in a classy way, and yes, your suggestion of sending her thankyou flowers is very classy

with those flowers put in a thankyou card signed by you and him and the kids as a family and include a family picture, nothing big, just a wallet sized picture

if she has any intentions other than being just friendly that should fix them right away, after all, you did mention that you guys went to school together in a small town, the dynamics of interrelations and friendships work much differently in a small town rather than a large city.

perhaps she just wanted to check up and catch up on old times, its been 15 years, maybe just a simple stop in and say hi kind of thing, you never really know
Reply:That is not a bad idea, but rationally, you may have to let it go. Unless she does something else, you may have to be the bigger person and let it go. If you want to prevent it from happening again, your husband will have to handle it, only because you should allow him to %26quot;be a man%26quot; and tell her that he has no intention of persuing her, he is uncomfortable with the gesture, he is happily married, but his wife (you) thought the flowers were beautiful, oh yeah, make sure it is a fairly public place. Hope this could help.
Reply:I%26#039;d send her a thank you note and state that you donated the flowers to the local nursing home or hospital and though it was a nice gesture, it was also a little bazarre that she would do that out of the blue. And then tell her that if she feels the need to send flowers again, in lieu of flowers to please make a donation in your husbands name to a local charity.
Reply:I understand your desire to get personally involved in this, but it will mean nothing to her. It would be best to let your husband handle things. Stay involved, but do so behind the scenes.
Reply:obviously she%26#039;s lonely %26amp; jealous . Leave her alone %26amp; next time tell him send them back, do not accept anymore, she%26#039;s trying to piss u off 4 some reason . Don%26#039;t paly her childish game . tell you husband if she does it again refuse them %26amp; keep sending them back tell the flower shop %26amp; tell them you don%26#039;t want anymore from her. if she keeps it up tell him file a police report for harrassment or have the police talk to her %26amp; make her stop. She needs to know he don%26#039;t want her %26amp; if he refuses them %26amp; files a report trust me she don%26#039;t want jail time
Reply:You should witness the phone call he makes to her to make it CLEAR and I mean crystal-clear that he is NOT interested and that he did speak to you about it. He should then hang up without any more discussion. Don%26#039;t even deal with her, it would only gratify her. She%26#039;s sad.
Reply:Well, my first reaction would be to send her a Thank You note, and tell her how much you enjoyed the flowers. But on second thought, I would just ignore it. Take the high road. Your husband apparently did nothing wrong, and did tell you right away, so no harm there. I totally understand the desire for some kind of revenge, or at least for her to know that YOU know, but it%26#039;s always better to be the lady.
Reply:Forget about it. Do nothing. Your husband told you everything. He should get bigtime kudos for that. Trust in him to deal with it. Show him the classy lady you can be. Becoming aggressive will show your insecurity about your relationship and that you can%26#039;t handle things you believe are out of your control. He obviously loves you. This woman is Jerry Springer low class, don%26#039;t go down to her level. Be the bigger person and all that.
Reply:Ignore it. She wasted her money sending flowers the man who only plans to come home to you.

Plus, it may not be what you think it is. I had a dear male friend who%26#039;s wife couldn%26#039;t handle a female friend in his life and she made my life hell with nasty notes and calls (I never sent him flowers lol honest) but I did send birthday presents, christmas presents, cards etc - like he and I did since childhood.

Bottom line - it%26#039;s not your place to say anything. If your husband felt the gift was inappopriate then he should be the one to politely call and make sure there are no mixed messages.
Reply:i would have my husband send her a note and it would go something like this:

Dear So and So,

Thank you for the flowers, however I would have to decline any further flowers or gifts from you out of respect for my wife and marriage. I certainly hope you understand and are not in anyway offended, for that is not my intention. My wife and I both agree that any further gestures would not be appropriate and I do hope you respect my steadfastness to my family. My wife and I do welcome you to feel free to contact us at our family email address www......

if she had any ill intentions (as she most likely did) this note should let her know exactly where she stands, more importantly where your husband stands. i would gather that your husband won%26#039;t be hearing from her any longer!! issue resolved, and the respect of your husband yourself and your marriage has been kept in tact.
Reply:Now that you know who it is just keep your composure and not say anything. That is just a bigger compliment knowing that you have found a great husband that other jealous women want. This give you even more reason to grab your husband by the hand and enjoy the rest of your life with him. When you see her around again grab him and plant a big kiss on him and make her even more jealous to know that those flowers meant nothing to him at all. Just smile and wave at her afterwards that will really piss her off cause she will see that meant nothing at all and that you know.
