Do girls really like flowers?

I mean, I have given flowers to girls I like but personaly I find it like something not very practical. Well flowers are pretty but they die in a few days, so it%26#039;s not even something with much of a decorative or memory value. So do you really like them that much or would you prefer something else as a gift?

i know that i love flowers..but its more the thought...anythings..a card....a stuffed animal anything that shows that you went out of your way to prove your feelings for that person...good luck
Reply:Flowers are nice, but I agree with you. It%26#039;s basically a waste of money. They die in a few days. I would prefer a stuffed animal or something else with sentimental value. It depends on the girl.
Reply:The reason girls like flowers is it is a romantic gesture. You might not see it like that but that is how we take it. We love them!!!

Reply:yes but the best for me are roses and a single red rose is even nicer and cheaper. So it works both ways.
Reply:some of my girlfriends saved the flowers by drying them our and hanging them on the wall, i guess thats how you can tell if they really like them. and whether you get some or not tells you how much they liked them. i dont think its the flowers that they like its the fact that you actually went out of your way to get them something that had no benefit to you. (unless of course you do get some)
Reply:well it depends i HATE FLOWERS!!!! so if u know me dont give me flour or flowers. since it is near Valentine%26#039;s Day i think chocolate is better than flowers, and i hate those Valentine%26#039;s Day gram heart thingy candy eeewwwww!! once my bf gave me a snail and i ate it but it was sticky!!! and snail - licious!!

Reply:flowers are always a good gift, but try something a little less conventional like lilly flowers or sunflowers; sometimes roses get old.





If you really love the girl, give her roses, but buy a plastic rose and put it with the other roses. attach a note saying %26quot;i will stop loving you when the last rose dies%26quot; since the last rose is plastic it will never die.





there are other gifts too, candy, a basket of favorites you can put together yourself (favorite candy, movies, CD, whatever..) be creative!

Reply:Depends on the girl. Personally I love flowers. One time when we were dating my husband bought me a little statue of two wolves cuddled together. He said it reminded him of us. I stilll have it many years later and it stil brings a smile to my face each time I look at it. The point is, flowers are nice once in a while, but a gift from the heart will be cherished for years to come.

Reply:When I was in my teens and early twenties, I%26#039;d have agreed with you that flowers are lame, a waste of money and die in three days. Mind you I was also pretty poor and to spend 20 bucks on something that wouldn%26#039;t last was unheard of!


Now that I%26#039;m older, I%26#039;ve developed a much broader appreciation for nature, I have more money and I have to say that flowers are a true luxury. When I have them in my house or see them in a garden I cannot keep my eyes off of them! And of course, I love the smell. Flowers may not last but they feed the soul when they%26#039;re alive.

Reply:Apparently we do, but I suggest you take them a little potted plant and let them take care of it...say you hope your love will grow and bloom like this potted plant here lol..because if you take them cut flowers, they%26#039;ll throw it out after a few days and i think thats such a waste of plant life...its more an expression of love, giving flowers, its the thought that counts.....so if you mean well and give a single flower you picked on the way to meeting whoever you%26#039;re meeting...it would be very appreciated...oh alright! I would appreciate that, I dont know about others lol

Flowers are beautiful, but only for so long, unless you get the fake plastic flowers, but they aren%26#039;t as pretty as the real ones.
