Guys - how do you feel if someone sends you flowers on your birthday?

I%26#039;ve been arguing with my mom on this one for a long time now, but I have an aunt that moved away. When she was closer she would usually bake a special cake on my birthday or my sisters. But since she moved away she sends flowers as well as a card and a gift; the flowers usually arrive by a florist on the day. The first time this happened I felt really embarrassed about it and didn%26#039;t like it. My mom thought it was nice and send it is a custom and not a big deal. Then it happened again last year and some guy friends saw them - none of them have ever had flowers for their birthday before although one had a cousin that had - we were able to laugh it off to a nutty aunt, but it was still awkward. Now with my b%26#039;day coming up again I already know that flowers will be coming this year. I%26#039;ve said to my mom that I wish she%26#039;d say to not bother or use the money for something else or save it, but my mom%26#039;s mad at me and told me to thank her when they come

I can%26#039;t be the only guy who feels this way

Guys - how do you feel if someone sends you flowers on your birthday?
I understand it%26#039;s a little unusual for men, but I doubt anyone will think less of you at all truly for merely recieving flowers from a family member. I am surprised your mother doesn%26#039;t understand how you%26#039;re feeling though, I%26#039;ve recieved embarressing gifts before but my parents were always understanding and they felt less guilt than me when disposing of them. Your birthday is supposed to be an enjoyable time for you, and the last thing she should be worrying about is etiquette on your behalf. I think it would be quite easy for her to discretely hint your aunt to not send them, she might not succeed, but I%26#039;m surprised she will not even attempt to remedy the situation. But as i said, don%26#039;t worry about it, it%26#039;s likely no one will even see them, make sure your mates aren%26#039;t around when they%26#039;re getting delievered if you can and put them in a room where your friends won%26#039;t go when they come round? I%26#039;m sure may guys your age feel the same way, but when you get older I think most realise that they%26#039;re just a nice gesture. Hope you have a good birthday!
Reply:My sister always sends me flowers for my birthday. I thought it was peculiar at first. I was living in a dorm and got a lot of comments, for sure. But now I understand it as a representation of her love and I even look forward to getting them. Be happy that someone cares enough to send you flowers. And maybe send HER flowers on HER birthday. I bet she%26#039;d love it.
Reply:It%26#039;s not my thing. Personally I think buying dead plants is a waste of time. If they got me something that was still in roots then maybe. I will buy flowers for a girl if I know that she likes it. I think the whole idea is to make the other person happy on their birthday, not yourself.

I wouldn%26#039;t complain about your aunt though. She cares for you. That%26#039;s a good thing.
Reply:well my brother got flowers from his gir freind and he said well atleast she thouht of me and i gave my boyfreind flowers and her sister said he waters them every day so dont worry it is sooo normal i mean you should like them its alright and also u can pass it on to a girl u like or ur girlfreind and girls love it when a guy brings them flowers!

hope i helped!
Reply:I think they are a waste of money, but it seems that your Mom likes to have your flowers around the house. When you get your own place, you can tell your aunt you%26#039;d rather have socks or underwear. LOL
Reply:I do think it%26#039;s a little odd, but it%26#039;s nothing compared to being a total ingrate. Grow up.
Reply:No, I%26#039;d be embarrassed to get flowers as a gift too. Maybe talk to your aunt about it.
Reply:Your an immature little thing aren%26#039;t you? They%26#039;re just flowers. Get over it.
Reply:I%26#039;d rather get something useful. Flowers just die in a few days.
Reply:You are not the only guy. I have felt like this before. the truth is..... I LOVE FLOWERS!
Reply:Give them to your mom.
Reply:Excited, because now I have a %26#039;get out of jail free%26#039; card that I didn%26#039;t have to buy with my own money!
Reply:LOL... run... run from the flowers before they turn you into a girl!!! Ha ha.... Seriously, I agree with gadgitgirlmbl they%26#039;re just flowers which is a sign of love and feelings for you. It%26#039;s a nice thing that your aunt is showing you in a way that she can while being away from you. Don%26#039;t be so nasty about it. If you%26#039;re that embarrassed then hide them like Double X said from your guy friends, but say thanks to your aunt and show her some respect too.

What kind of plants/flowers/rocks are good to do for landscaping?

I have some planters full of dry dirt. What would be good to put in there and how? If flowers, what are some good ( low cost) flowers I could plant that grow well in summer in SoCal heat? The area gets some shade and sunlight. I also have a dog who loves to dig, so if there is something else I could put there, those ideas are good too. I have no idea!

What kind of plants/flowers/rocks are good to do for landscaping?
First off, get your planters good and wet. One way to do it is to shower with a few pots on the shower floor to collect the water. A little soap wont hurt, I hear you have a watering ban on occasion. Portulaca is nice, it is drought tolerant and will do well in containers. Loves sun. Try a wave petunia if you can find it and the container is large enough, those things are nuts, no clean, prolific.

Attn: Married women/men...A woman sends MY husband flowers at his work...We just found out who did it...?

Someone sent my husband (of 10 years) flowers at his work, the card said %26quot;An old friend from high school wants to wish you a Merry Christmas, XXXXXXXX%26quot;. Well, after a week of not knowing who they were from, my husband found out today after harrassing the flower shop. Turns out she is someone we both know, having went to school with her 15 years ago in our SMALL town. We both just saw her a few weeks ago at a local restaurant. He always felt like she had a crush in school and I could see her flirty ways on the few occasions we were ever around her. My question is, now that I know who she is what should I do? I want to handle this with class and not just call her and cuss, scream and threaten her. My husband brought these flowers home directly to me the day he got them. He has also assured me he had done nothing to provoke this. I thought about sending her some %26quot;thank you%26quot; flowers and signing the card with MY name but I want to see what YOU think....Thanks!!

Attn: Married women/men...A woman sends MY husband flowers at his work...We just found out who did it...?
Send her a thank you card stating that %26quot;John and I enjoyed the flowers. thank you from BOTH of us%26quot; That way she knows that you have found out that she sent them and that he did not keep them a secret from you.
Reply:I think the best way to do it with class would be to simply ignore it. Because when you start to react in ANY way, that is all she needs. Ignoring the issue would be a polite way to show her that her gesture was the inappropriate one. (After all, she could of have sent it home to your husband, not to his place of work like he has something to hide!) The best thing to do would be to not react to her actions in any way by simply ignoring her. Because your reaction is all she thrives for.
Reply:Sounds like she%26#039;s in the same city as you? If so, when you both see her again, which it%26#039;s inevitable you will, your husband should say something like...%26quot;oh hey, thanks for the flowers, we really enjoyed them%26quot;, and move on to your destination. Put her on the spot, she%26#039;ll feel like a complete heal after he brings that up in front of you. In the mean time, give your hubby a big kiss and thank God every day for him, as men like that don%26#039;t come around very often. Some tend to get big heads and big ego%26#039;s. Sounds like he%26#039;s a classy guy, and you a classy woman.
Reply:She means nothing to your husband. Let it go. You will be glad you did in the longrun, and nobody will lose their job at the flower shop! Enjoy your flowers. If she tries to contact your husband again, you can say something then.

You have no problem here.....Happy New Year!
Reply:YES l agree with you. Don%26#039;t send her flowers but send her a thank-you card. Atleast then she will get the message that you know all about the flowers. If she was a half decent woman she would have sent the flowers to both of you. I would say that she was just testing the water to see what your husband would do. Atleast you know you can fully trust him. Good for you. Best of luck and Happy New Year to you both.
Reply:Ignore her. Don%26#039;t let her know he got them, don%26#039;t let her know what the reaction was.

Any sort of response will likely only encourage her, if she%26#039;s still %26quot;hung up%26quot; on your hubby.
Reply:yes if you want her to know so she wn%26#039;t continue on or do anything even more daring yet do it with class thats a good way you m entioned . send her thank you flowers with a note back and she will be aware that you both know. what you and he say in the card im sure you%26#039;ll think the right words up wink wink.
Reply:Wow, the female answers are all over the place, aren%26#039;t they?

As a guy, it seems to me that the responsibility to respond - if there is any - should come from your husband.

However, I wouldn%26#039;t do anything. It was a very dumb idea of hers to send a married man flowers for Christmas. It was, as the Brits say, %26quot;bad form.%26quot;

The best way to respond to bad form, in my humble opinion, is to ignore it, laugh at it, make fun of it, forget about it, but DON%26#039;T respond to it. Responding to it gives it validity. And, this very pathetic attempt at stirring up something does not merit a response.

(I%26#039;ll bet the poor woman is already embarrassed that she did it. Let her stew in her own juices - that would be the best punishment.)
Reply:i believe that you should send a thank you note with your name and your husbands... in that case she may see that your husband doesnt hide anything from you .. and that you guys know that it was her... so that the next time she has the intention of sending your husband something she%26#039;ll think twice about it... although their are some canniving women out there... but try to give her the benefit of a doubt .... if she gets out of hand and dare to take another advance at your husband ... then you AND your husband need to set her straight ... WITHOUT the cussing and all of that... like 2 civilized people.....

GOOD LUCK
Reply:I%26#039;m glad you decided to handle this with class!

Showing anger and vengeful outbursts only show how immature you would be, if you went %26#039;after%26#039; her.

Your idea of sending her flowers is actually a %26#039;great%26#039; idea.

But i think I would go %26#039;one step%26#039; further than that.

With the flowers you send her, also send a invitation to your house for dinner!

If she accepts (she might if she%26#039;s a weirdo), let her see how much you and hubby are in love, and in a very %26#039;classy%26#039; way you

can let her know he%26#039;s %26#039;not%26#039; available for loan..

But if she%26#039;s a normal human being, she won%26#039;t accept the invite

and will get the message loud and clear..

BUT be prepared if she does accept.

And handle it with %26#039;CLASS%26#039; a lot of class%26#039; (know what I mean).
Reply:Um. you have already handled this without class by harassing the flower shop people. Ignore it, and enjoy the flowers. She wrote nothing inappropriate on the card. Your husband has been upfront and honest (good man)...you are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Do you want drama in your life...because you about to create it.
Reply:I%26#039;d send her a card with your signature and say thank you, I really enjoyed your flowers to my husband. Not necessary to send future flowers....
Reply:YEAH!!!!!

pay back 4 that!
Reply:i would take the flowers and march right up to her and hand them back. tell her he%26#039;s taken and just leave.
Reply:sending her flowers back is a good idea. make sure you tell her that you and your husband wish her a merry Christmas too.. make sure you included both of your names.. good luck!! and keep an eye on her.. don%26#039;t trust any one .. i am pretty sure that you have a good husband, treat him right...
Reply:girl i have been with my hubby 7 years and i would probably be ready to hurt the girl but i like your idea of sending her thank you flowers be sure to put my husband and i really enjoyed the flowers what a niece gift you gave us i think those words would slap her harder than any real slap so do it (it%26#039;s the classy way to handle her)
Reply:She certainly has some nerve, but you shouldn%26#039;t do anything. Your husband should set the record straight by telling her he is happily married. If she keeps harassing him she is clearly psycho and needs therapy. Good Luck!
Reply:ok, so this old crush that probably does not know that he is involved sends flowers to your husband, ok, maybe she even knows that you two are married but sent them as a meaningles gesture of old time friendship, nothing to get all hysterical about and threaten armageddon on her entire family tree

like you said, you wish to handle it in a classy way, and yes, your suggestion of sending her thankyou flowers is very classy

with those flowers put in a thankyou card signed by you and him and the kids as a family and include a family picture, nothing big, just a wallet sized picture

if she has any intentions other than being just friendly that should fix them right away, after all, you did mention that you guys went to school together in a small town, the dynamics of interrelations and friendships work much differently in a small town rather than a large city.

perhaps she just wanted to check up and catch up on old times, its been 15 years, maybe just a simple stop in and say hi kind of thing, you never really know
Reply:That is not a bad idea, but rationally, you may have to let it go. Unless she does something else, you may have to be the bigger person and let it go. If you want to prevent it from happening again, your husband will have to handle it, only because you should allow him to %26quot;be a man%26quot; and tell her that he has no intention of persuing her, he is uncomfortable with the gesture, he is happily married, but his wife (you) thought the flowers were beautiful, oh yeah, make sure it is a fairly public place. Hope this could help.
Reply:I%26#039;d send her a thank you note and state that you donated the flowers to the local nursing home or hospital and though it was a nice gesture, it was also a little bazarre that she would do that out of the blue. And then tell her that if she feels the need to send flowers again, in lieu of flowers to please make a donation in your husbands name to a local charity.
Reply:I understand your desire to get personally involved in this, but it will mean nothing to her. It would be best to let your husband handle things. Stay involved, but do so behind the scenes.
Reply:obviously she%26#039;s lonely %26amp; jealous . Leave her alone %26amp; next time tell him send them back, do not accept anymore, she%26#039;s trying to piss u off 4 some reason . Don%26#039;t paly her childish game . tell you husband if she does it again refuse them %26amp; keep sending them back tell the flower shop %26amp; tell them you don%26#039;t want anymore from her. if she keeps it up tell him file a police report for harrassment or have the police talk to her %26amp; make her stop. She needs to know he don%26#039;t want her %26amp; if he refuses them %26amp; files a report trust me she don%26#039;t want jail time
Reply:You should witness the phone call he makes to her to make it CLEAR and I mean crystal-clear that he is NOT interested and that he did speak to you about it. He should then hang up without any more discussion. Don%26#039;t even deal with her, it would only gratify her. She%26#039;s sad.
Reply:Well, my first reaction would be to send her a Thank You note, and tell her how much you enjoyed the flowers. But on second thought, I would just ignore it. Take the high road. Your husband apparently did nothing wrong, and did tell you right away, so no harm there. I totally understand the desire for some kind of revenge, or at least for her to know that YOU know, but it%26#039;s always better to be the lady.
Reply:Forget about it. Do nothing. Your husband told you everything. He should get bigtime kudos for that. Trust in him to deal with it. Show him the classy lady you can be. Becoming aggressive will show your insecurity about your relationship and that you can%26#039;t handle things you believe are out of your control. He obviously loves you. This woman is Jerry Springer low class, don%26#039;t go down to her level. Be the bigger person and all that.
Reply:Ignore it. She wasted her money sending flowers the man who only plans to come home to you.

Plus, it may not be what you think it is. I had a dear male friend who%26#039;s wife couldn%26#039;t handle a female friend in his life and she made my life hell with nasty notes and calls (I never sent him flowers lol honest) but I did send birthday presents, christmas presents, cards etc - like he and I did since childhood.

Bottom line - it%26#039;s not your place to say anything. If your husband felt the gift was inappopriate then he should be the one to politely call and make sure there are no mixed messages.
Reply:i would have my husband send her a note and it would go something like this:

Dear So and So,

Thank you for the flowers, however I would have to decline any further flowers or gifts from you out of respect for my wife and marriage. I certainly hope you understand and are not in anyway offended, for that is not my intention. My wife and I both agree that any further gestures would not be appropriate and I do hope you respect my steadfastness to my family. My wife and I do welcome you to feel free to contact us at our family email address www......

if she had any ill intentions (as she most likely did) this note should let her know exactly where she stands, more importantly where your husband stands. i would gather that your husband won%26#039;t be hearing from her any longer!! issue resolved, and the respect of your husband yourself and your marriage has been kept in tact.
Reply:Now that you know who it is just keep your composure and not say anything. That is just a bigger compliment knowing that you have found a great husband that other jealous women want. This give you even more reason to grab your husband by the hand and enjoy the rest of your life with him. When you see her around again grab him and plant a big kiss on him and make her even more jealous to know that those flowers meant nothing to him at all. Just smile and wave at her afterwards that will really piss her off cause she will see that meant nothing at all and that you know.

Do girls really like flowers?

I mean, I have given flowers to girls I like but personaly I find it like something not very practical. Well flowers are pretty but they die in a few days, so it%26#039;s not even something with much of a decorative or memory value. So do you really like them that much or would you prefer something else as a gift?

Do girls really like flowers?
i know that i love flowers..but its more the thought...anythings..a card....a stuffed animal anything that shows that you went out of your way to prove your feelings for that person...good luck
Reply:Flowers are nice, but I agree with you. It%26#039;s basically a waste of money. They die in a few days. I would prefer a stuffed animal or something else with sentimental value. It depends on the girl.
Reply:The reason girls like flowers is it is a romantic gesture. You might not see it like that but that is how we take it. We love them!!!
Reply:yes some girl likes some hate
Reply:They like diamonds too you know!
Reply:They prefer you give them a bunch of flowers still stuck in a piece of turf that you have dug up from their parent%26#039;s garden.
Reply:yes but the best for me are roses and a single red rose is even nicer and cheaper. So it works both ways.
Reply:some of my girlfriends saved the flowers by drying them our and hanging them on the wall, i guess thats how you can tell if they really like them. and whether you get some or not tells you how much they liked them. i dont think its the flowers that they like its the fact that you actually went out of your way to get them something that had no benefit to you. (unless of course you do get some)
Reply:well it depends i HATE FLOWERS!!!! so if u know me dont give me flour or flowers. since it is near Valentine%26#039;s Day i think chocolate is better than flowers, and i hate those Valentine%26#039;s Day gram heart thingy candy eeewwwww!! once my bf gave me a snail and i ate it but it was sticky!!! and snail - licious!!
Reply:I love flowers
Reply:flowers are always a good gift, but try something a little less conventional like lilly flowers or sunflowers; sometimes roses get old.

If you really love the girl, give her roses, but buy a plastic rose and put it with the other roses. attach a note saying %26quot;i will stop loving you when the last rose dies%26quot; since the last rose is plastic it will never die.

there are other gifts too, candy, a basket of favorites you can put together yourself (favorite candy, movies, CD, whatever..) be creative!
Reply:Just a material item. But you know man it does the trick, the look on their face when they receive em%26#039; is um, a good thing! SO if she%26#039;s happy I%26#039;m happy, when they die, buy her more!
Reply:Depends on the girl. Personally I love flowers. One time when we were dating my husband bought me a little statue of two wolves cuddled together. He said it reminded him of us. I stilll have it many years later and it stil brings a smile to my face each time I look at it. The point is, flowers are nice once in a while, but a gift from the heart will be cherished for years to come.
Reply:I am a girl and I don%26#039;t really like flowers but I think that a guy giving flowers to a girl has been a part of the way that things go between a man and a woman for a long time. it%26#039;s just something to be expected.
Reply:Personally, I love flowers, they%26#039;re gorgeous and they make me happy
Reply:A few roses are nice along with a special gift that will last and carries memories.
Reply:When I was in my teens and early twenties, I%26#039;d have agreed with you that flowers are lame, a waste of money and die in three days. Mind you I was also pretty poor and to spend 20 bucks on something that wouldn%26#039;t last was unheard of!

Now that I%26#039;m older, I%26#039;ve developed a much broader appreciation for nature, I have more money and I have to say that flowers are a true luxury. When I have them in my house or see them in a garden I cannot keep my eyes off of them! And of course, I love the smell. Flowers may not last but they feed the soul when they%26#039;re alive.
Reply:OMG of course we do! I think that is one of the most romantic things a guy can do for a girl!
Reply:Girls love flowers, They like it more if you get the flowers they love. Find out what flowers she likes and go with them.
Reply:of course we do!!! boy**
Reply:not all girls my mother like plants why like some thing that dies in 7 days or less. buy a plant she would all ways say they live longer.
Reply:I love flowers but not for a %26quot;I%26#039;m sorry%26quot; gift or for a first date (seems to desperate to impress me). Flowers are a great %26quot;I was thinking of you%26quot; gift. It doesn%26#039;t matter what gifts I get as long as they come from the heart.
Reply:I LOVE flowers. You can preserve them by putting them in a book, you know:)
Reply:Good Question!!! No not all girls love flowers. Me personally I hate them. to me it%26#039;s just sooo boring to receive flowers. Like you said they look preety during the first couple of days and then die. I perfer other gifts
Reply:Apparently we do, but I suggest you take them a little potted plant and let them take care of it...say you hope your love will grow and bloom like this potted plant here lol..because if you take them cut flowers, they%26#039;ll throw it out after a few days and i think thats such a waste of plant life...its more an expression of love, giving flowers, its the thought that counts.....so if you mean well and give a single flower you picked on the way to meeting whoever you%26#039;re meeting...it would be very appreciated...oh alright! I would appreciate that, I dont know about others lol
Reply:i like the kind of flowers that smell good and that look pretty but if my boyfriend gave me flowers i wouldve liked something to treasure for ever
Reply:Of course! If you are thinking about giving a girl flowers do it!!!
Reply:Heck yeah, we like them Artemm! We only like lingerie or pretty jewelry more. Everything else is secondary.
Reply:i don%26#039;t very much, They just die after so long, I like jewelry or stuffed animals from my man, although i never get anything from him ever. Thats what i like!! Flowers are beautiful, but only for so long, unless you get the fake plastic flowers, but they aren%26#039;t as pretty as the real ones.
Reply:I love flowers all girls do. I think that white roses are the best for something romantic.
Reply:Who cares if they die. WE LOVE THEM!!!!! its great if we dont have to hint either. Go get some now for her and have them delivered that is so SWEET.

Christian story hour based on seeds, growing, flowers gardening, any great verses or Bible stories ?

I posted this question a long time ago before my puter crashed and I lost it all. If you have children 8 and under especially 5 and under, what are some ways you can think of to talk about God at their level and using gardening of flowers to teach lessons. Please only answer if you have good ideas, the answer that just post to get 10 points or 3 pts. for answering are just irritants to us all. I know children very very well, but I always like to brain storm and last time I came up with great responses to put on my list. WEd. is our first and I think I%26#039;m going to start looking at various flower seed of all kinds and shapes and explain to them that they were created by God like this, and then each plants one and as time goes by it will turn into some kind of flower, just like God created them unique etc. Please don%26#039;t voice your opinion as to whether you think I should do this or not, if I wanted to know that, I would ask, please :)

Christian story hour based on seeds, growing, flowers gardening, any great verses or Bible stories ?
I would start by brainstorming topics about plants first. Then see how they fit in with God.

Plants:

--Grow

--Are born

--Give us food

--Give us shelter from the sun

--Provide homes for animals

--Often need to be taken care of

--Have interesting ways to get their seeds around

Now, take one or two of those topics and brainstorm again.

%26quot;Plants give us shelter from the sun.%26quot; How does this relate to God?

--God gives us shelter

--How does God protect us?

--Shade gives us rest.

--We don%26#039;t always think of that as a benefit God gave us, but it is one we are supplied with.

I tend to like that third one.

Maybe you can develop a story where someone is walking in the hot sun and needs a rest. He stops under the shade of a tree and decides it is a good place for a while. As he sits under the tree, he notices several different ways people are helping each other.

Children can then make up their own pictures of their favorite things to do to help others and share them with the group.

All this came off the top of my head brainstorming as I typed. Might be a good idea...might not be the greatest idea...might be a horrible idea. I just wanted to share the process of how I come up with these things.

Reply:Another option in addition to your ideas is to plant the flowers in 3 different types of soils. This can reference the parable of the seed that fell on different soil and how it grew. And easy way would be to but some clay soil in a pot and never water it, another pot could have a bunch of weeds, and the third one could be really good maintained soil.
Reply:i believe that there is some story or passage related to the mustard seed.
Reply:I think this is a wonderfully written child story, well constructed and entertaining. There is the quotation of bible verse in every bible story page. Please refer to these urls:-

The Parable of the Sower

1That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3Then he told them many things in parables, saying: %26quot;A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9He who has ears, let him hear.%26quot;

10The disciples came to him and asked, %26quot;Why do you speak to the people in parables?%26quot;

11He replied, %26quot;The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13This is why I speak to them in parables:

%26quot;Though seeing, they do not see;

though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

%26quot; %26#039;You will be ever hearing but never understanding;

you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

15For this people%26#039;s heart has become calloused;

they hardly hear with their ears,

and they have closed their eyes.

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

hear with their ears,

understand with their hearts

and turn, and I would heal them.%26#039;[a] 16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

18%26quot;Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. 22The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. 23But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.%26quot;

I dropped off flowers at this girl house but there was no response about it at school what could have happened

Well I drove to her house to drop some flowers at her door step and I expected some gosip about it. I left I nice note with the flowers, but I put it as anominous. I expected gosip the next day b/t her friends, but no mention. What happened? I also noticed that same day she seemed like she was seeing someone who was her boyfriend for couple days or a week and I did not realize.

I dropped off flowers at this girl house but there was no response about it at school what could have happened
that is so cute. She didn%26#039;t know who it was from unfortunately...
Reply:ask her if she recived anything from anybody and she probaly would say something about it sooner or later
Reply:I think some buttlick took the flowers as they were from them the best thing to do is either send a package with your name on it with goodies for her in there or send the flowers with your name on them and see who signed for them,on the Flowers state when you sent the last flowers then it will take care of the last flowers and give you credit for both (have it sent to the school)
Reply:Well, I can think of three things.

1. She did not recieve them due to theft or vandalism or wind blowing the card away.

2. She thought they were from her boyfriend.

3. She was too shy to say anything about because she was worried someone might take the p*ss.

I don%26#039;t know her but I am guessing 3. That is what I normally do, if I don%26#039;t know who it is from or if I thought someone did it to be harsh I would not tell anyone.

I hop this has helped you to understand what had happened.
Reply:let it go bro!
Reply:you should have given them yo her yourself you coward.

someone else prolly took the credit cuz you too much of a Pu$sy to do it yourself.

what a waste
Reply:yeah maybe even you put them at the wrong house? And how could she know it was from you or anyone, or she might be worried it was from sort of stalker or even a mistake. I doubt she would tell anyone bout it- might of even suspected who it was from and not said a thing.
Reply:I suspect I may be a wee bit older than you are. One thing I%26#039;ve seen lots of times is some jerk buying a drink for a pretty girl--anonymously. (It%26#039;s spelled with a y.) What a waste of money!

One time a guy did that and when she asked the waiter who it was from I said ME! The guy who paid for it hollered BULLSHIT!

His cover was blown.
Reply:AAAWWWW.... that was sweet. Maybe because she has a boyfriend she didn%26#039;t want him getting jealous and thinking she was seeing someone else she kept it quiet ( which is hard for any teenage girl to do, lol) You should have just put your name on it to get a response.
Reply:Maybe it wasn%26#039;t anything worth talking about. Or perhaps you weren%26#039;t around when that was being discussed. Maybe her friends happened to be with her at the time and they fully exhausted the entire list of possibilities.
Reply:I think her friend might have stolen your shine!
Reply:Maybe her momma is lookin for ya!!
Reply:She might not have know how to react to your flowers, since she already had a bf. I am sure she just didn%26#039;t want to hurt your feelings.
Reply:maybe she didnt receive them.maybe her parents threw them away before she seen them
Reply:what probably happened was the guy she is seeing took the credit for them when she asked him if he sent the flowers. hope he is not the jealous type
Reply:Perhaps her Mother picked them up?
Reply:Well if she had a boyfriend she probably thought it was from him.
Reply:The note could of fallen off, someone other than her got them, like her mom.Maybe her boy toy got to them first.Or she may have been embarrassed.Never try to figure out women.......ya can%26#039;t.They are all different complex nut bags who have no idea what they want from one minute to the next.good luck bro.
Reply:She could of gotten confused on who the flowers were from.
Reply:Shes not interested and she probably knows it was you. She doesn%26#039;t want a confrontation and protencially hurt your feelings. Either that or this new guy is taking credit for your gesture.

What flowers would be good to put in this?

well me and my dad just decide to make gardens last year well last year they didnt get any flowers in them b/c of fininalcial probs so what type should we put in we have most ly sun light and half shade

What flowers would be good to put in this?
For the best value for your dollar, buy ANNUALS. These flowers will bloom all spring, summer, and fall, and they freeze in the winter. They come in a large variety of colors, and sizes. Buy them in the smallest size, because they are least expensive in a six pack, then in a larger pot. They will grow really fast once they are in the ground. Don%26#039;t plant your annuals until the middle of May, if you are in a cold region. Read the lable carefuly, before you buy them. It will tell you how big they will get, what kind of soil they need, and how much sun.

Perennials are more expensive, and only bloom for a short while.

Look for. . . .Petunia, Impatein, Pansy, Alyssum, Lobelia, Zinnia, Marigold, Cosmos, Portulaca, Salvia, Dianthus, Calendula, Wax Begonia, and Snapdragon. There are many more, so just pick your favorites.

Make sure your soil is well prepared, with composted manure, and peat moss, and a good potting soil mixed in.

Keep them watered. Pick off any dead flowers. The more flowers you pick, the more they bloom.
Reply:Depending on the soil and light your garden gets changes what plants will grow. Shade is defined as duskiness, dimness, comparative darkness, and sheltered from exposure to direct sunlight. Dappled shade is defined as an intermittent, moving pattern of light and shade. Soil ranges from silty, or sandy to clay with water retension very low to very high. Generally grey-green foliage indicates a plant%26#039;s preference for full sun and dryness, gold or pale green the preference for shade.

Try Hostas a wide range of shades ranging from blue; to yellow; lime, and silver. These shades of green can also be spotted; striped; or solid. They can bloon in lavender or white and there are fragrant forms.

Acanthus, Bear%26#039;s Breeches have tall spires of soft purple above the leaves. These are good for planting behind shorter plants.

Ajuga reptans, %26#039;Bronze Beauty%26#039; or %26#039;Burgundy Glow%26#039; short for in front.

Astilbe likes moist conditions with with delicate, feathery flowers.

Dicentra, Bleeding Heart, %26#039;Aurora%26#039;

Ferns like Adiantum pedatum, Maidenhair offer delicate short foliage that dances in the breeze.

Heuchera, Coral Bells, %26#039;Black Beauty%26#039;, %26#039;Amber Wave%26#039;. A showy leaved plant with green vein to purplish leaves, great for borders and in front of shrubs.

Tiarella very like heuchera but with more delicate cut leaves.

Ligularia dentata, %26#039;Desdemona%26#039; 1 -2 ft tall yellow orange daisy-like flower above a great rounded leaf. Moist conditions.

Polemonium caeruleum, Jacob%26#039;s Ladder can now be found with variegated foliage with sky blue bell shaped flowers.

For the best rose performance a minimum of 3 hours of direct light is necessary, or 6 or more hours of dappled sunlight. Of particular note are a few roses which have done splendidly in very little direct sunlight, BALLERINA (hybrid musk) and BUBBLE BATH (hybrid musk) fragrant, Cornelia (hybrid musk)
Reply:try going to hgtv.com. They have all the gardening shows, %26amp; have pics, videos, %26amp; plans for gardens. They also tell you what works the best in your area, %26amp; what looks good with what.
Reply:Different types of bulbs are a great place to start because they come back every year, and the bulbs will divide if you dead-head them, which will help fill the bed or you can move them to other beds. An assortment of cannas, lilies, and crocus, would be a great selection to start and offer different heights and textures. Also add some hostas, which are more leafy, but put up stalks of flowers and can be divided as well.

I also like wild flowers which reseed, specifically purple coneflower.
